A local car shop by where I live is closing and they are selling everything they have.

They have 3 sets of H11 TechONE HID lights available:

2 H11 5000k1 H11 8000k

They are selling them for $150

Which is about $75-100 cheaper than the website

http://www.tech1hid.com/

Ebay also sells for around $200

So for $150 its not bad if anyone wants a set.

I am picking up one of the 5000k

Does anyone want the other ones?

I've never heard of LEDmod kits, but a lot of other car forums use TechONE kits and I hear good things about them.

$130 sounds very cheap for an HID kit and Im skeptical of the quality, the TechONE kits sell for over $200 and even at $200 I consider the TechONE on the lower end of HID kits.

If you would like a TechONE kit I could pickup a set for you, just tell me if you want the 5000k or the 8000k.

I have a verified and premier paypal account.

Hmm....The price is good but I really want to retrofit the headlights with Q45 lens then I will have to add D2R bulbs which is going to be different. Thank you anyway. This kit would work for me temporarily.

did you have to change the whole lamp assembly? did you have it professionally installed or DIY?

No these are in the stock non HID headlights, DIY.

The hardest part of the install is finding a place to mount the ballasts, but everything else is pretty much plug and play.

These ballast in the kit only consume 35w, thus running these through the factory headlight harness is not a problem.

Yellow turn signals looks really ugly. Replace them with white or at least with amber led lights. But your HID looks hot. I'm planning to retrofit with q45 projectors next weekend.

looks awesome. did you have to adjust the aiming? do you see a problem with using the stock non-HID reflector (glare)?

where do you suggest to mount the ballast and how did you secure it (bolt, adhesive)?

I drove it home from work last night and my trip is usually about 35min and no one flashed their head lights at me. I did not have to re-aim or adjust anything. I see there is a headlight aiming bolt, but it was not necessary.

If you look in the 2nd to last picture you can see the cut off is fairly straight and low. It also tapers off at the ends which probably helps with oncoming traffic glare.

Standing in front of the vehicle the left side was easy to mount, there is a free tab with hole coming off the front support and the ballast bracket mounts to that with ease.

As for the right side (driver side) , I removed the air intake duct and looked around and right below the duct and behind the headlight is a 10mm bolt below the fuse/relay box (I think) that i was able to attach the ballast to that.

Took me about 30min to install.

thanks for all the info about HIDs and Rogue. It looks very nice. I am inspired to do this as my next DIY project that I already ordered my HID kit online. I also went for the 5000K. I want functionality without being too flashy.

I just ordered a full array of LED bulbs from that site to test out on our car (front signal/driving lamp bulbs, rear signal/driving lamp bulbs, rear backup lamp bulbs, rear license plate bulbs). I will let everyone know whether or not the load resistors are needed to prevent hyperflash.

I'm sure you will need a resistor because I installed led bulbs in the back and I had to use the equilizer.

Hey Edd. Before installing brake lights in the back if you bought them check my instructions. zerothread/326090Because the bulb has the same connector but japanese using different wire diagram.

i just got my HID conversion kit. Here are some pictures and how I mounted the ballast.

Before HIDEngineRight BallastLeft BallastAfter HID

BTW, I got the slim ballast and that was why I was able to mount it on those areas. HIDs are awesome and no glare at all with the stock head lamp. One little thing though, when you first turn-on your headlight and immediately followed by starting up your engine, the HID won't light up. You need to reset it by turning it off then turn back on. Not a big deal but I thought I mention it here.

Thanks! As it turns out I only managed to order the bulbs for the front, the rear signals, the backup lamps and the license plate lamps. I screwed up with the license plate bulbs as they're about a quarter inch too long, so I'll have to order some shorter ones. For the backup lamps, I was unable to get in there to change them. Any advice?

I will order the rear driving/brake bulbs tonight along with some shorter license plate bulbs. The front driving lamp/signal bulbs were a ***** to get the right wires tapped for the resistors but I finally got it. The effect is amazing, flipping from super white driving lamp to amber signal lamp with the speed of the LEDs! I will shoot a video some time to show everyone.

Does the procedure on pg 8-28 of the owners manual not work? The backup lamp is held in place with 3 bolt/nuts. You need to remove the small access panel on the inside of the hatch to get at the third bolt.

The issue I ran into above is after I undid all three bolts (the two to the outside as well as the one under the inside access cover). The lamp is still stuck on very tight towards the inside corner. The outside edge (where the two outside bolts are) is looser so I was able to lift it away about a quarter inch and peek in.
