So, after mentioning this in another thread, I figured I'd put this out there. I have spoken with Turbo Tim at Speed Force racing about 3.5 headers, and he stated that they could definitely do some for our 3.5 engines.

However, the initial price quoted was about $1000 ... I'm thinking we could get that price lowered, however, I don't want to start talking about group buys until I speak with the moderators. So right now, who would SERIOUSLY be interested in headers for the 3.5 , and would be able to purchase them over the next few months? Please keep in mind that estimated labor charges for the install is between $600 - $1000

Regardless of total interst, SFR could do these on a case by case basis, but obviously they may be able to drop the price a bit if they have a number of SERIOUSLY interested folks...

I really wanna say yes to this. My issue with doing so is this:

If im paying SFR to make the headers, why dont I just save some more money and have them kit me up a turbo. you are already looking at 1600-1800+ (if you add in shipping for us not able to go to sfr out there). If im dropping 2k into the car, i might as well go all out and drop another 5 to get what i really want.

I'm with you, for all the 6MT folks. For the CVT guys, this is it unless ya like to gamble.

guys don't take this the wrong way.. but to be honest, there's a reason that there are so few aftermarket parts for our cars.. and its because the owners are cheap, and don't want to spend money on their cars...

even if speed force racing lowered their price down to Stillen's price of $600, (which is similar to the G35 headers prices) people here would still find reasons not to buy it... I think this is largely why companies continue to give up on the A/C .. for the most part, A/C owners want stuff cheap, and don't want to pay the money for the parts...

it doesn't matter to me one way or another, I have nothing vested in SFR, just thought I'd put it out there as an option... in any case, if anyone wants 3.5 headers, just know that there are options out there, but its gonna cost money!

I would say scrap the Headers and focus on Test Pipes, they will be alot cheaper and easier to install

I would be very interested in headers for my baby! I already have Racingline's Y-Pipe and the Fast Intentions Exhaust. All i need now is headers to really make the VQ come to life!

Been waiting for headers to come out for us 3.5ers, or being developed. We will just have to see what the price tag will be at. I have no problem paying around $600-$700 for headers. Hopefully we will get what we pay for.

I payed around $700 for a set of USED Comptech headers for my old Acura CL Type S, and it was well obvious why it costed so much, compared to its competitors. Got what i paid for.

Its hard to quote us $1000 for headers when a 2002 Altima can buy a set for $100 off ebay and achieve the same results.

TEST PIPES.. They will yeild a lat less hp, but still be great addition for Y-pipes and Exhaust.

Headers would be great, but the expense of the install is crazy. A regular exhaust shop won't touch it.
