Ive been looking into doin a a silvia swap on my 96 SE. Im gonna need the whole front end- bumper, lights, fenders, and a carbon fiber hood off of a 97-98 silvia( i love that front end) plus the engine. im also gonna need someone to straighten the front end frame a little from a small accident. Ive seen all kinds of shops and companies that say they are pros etc. I was considering going through watanabe corp. since im in southern cali, but i dont know who i could really trust, and who has the best deals for quality work. If anyone could recomend a few shops specifically that i could call or go down to, itd be greatly apprecialted!!! i dont want to end up like some people i talk to where their car is at the shop for like a month or even worse a year!!! thanks again everyone!!!!

A year is a long time. A month is not at all an unreasonable expectation. When my buddy got a body kit put on his Supra and had it painted, he was without the car for six months. Good bodyshops usually have a backup of people wanting them to do work on their cars. The last thing you want to do is rush your body guy.

Another perspective... I'm thinking about getting my car painted. In the process, the body guy will remove all the little dents and dings, take care of the little rust spots and what not. My car doesn't need any major bodywork. I've been told it will take 10 days. That's just for a "simple" paintjob by a guy who really knows what he is doing.
