Because I can't find anywhere around here that does it, so I am obviously going to have to have them sent off and done. So, just lemme know who did yours and their web addy. I'd appreciate it.

You local machine shop should have the equipment to do it for you. If not, choose another machine shop. Most have the means to shot-peen connecting rods, and its very cheap to do.-Josh

Stock rods are shotpeened. Doing it again gains little to nothing.

Then what is the huge deal about getting rods shotpeened? If it helps at all and isn't very expensive, why not do it?

have them shotpeened and polished just make sure they know what they are doing shotpeening can cause the rods to warp and they have to be measured and aligned afterwards the casting marks on the rods cause weak spots that are more prone to fracturing polishing just eliminates these these weak spots there is a shop in georgia that will shotpeen polish and balance rods for like 15 bucks a piece but i cant remember the name search on google you should find them

thanks alot cheapspeed, if it really is that cheap to do then I'll most definately do them. I have decided though that if its kind of expensive I'm just going to leave them alone. The kind of power I'll be making they should be alright, but I dont like saying things like "should" be ok, I want to know for sure everything will be ok. But, yea thanks cheapspeed.

Shot Pening a rod or any other metal for that matter cause the "dislocations" in the metal to become aligned causing the metal to become stronger. The whole process involves "shotting" steel pellets and denting the metal. Thats basically it without going too deep into metalergy....Uncle Ben if you want more info just come to da hizzy.....You know where I live.....lol As far as nissan rods being factory done...I dont know....
