Maybe they'll bring back some useful skills like Krav Maga for when the public comes for their money back....

Isreal can defend itself without our subsidies. I'd put a freeze on all foreign aid and make every interest repetion for it and see if they could justify why I should send them money when i have Americans living in carboard boxes. I'm not against charity, just charity beyond our means.

I never made any promises to Israel, and I want to decide where my tax money must go, so, my vote will be for any candidate that "promise me" that he will use my tax money to help Americans as the main priority, and if there is some money left, only then, to help other countries...with no preferences about it...

I've always thought that maybe we should shift between Imperialism and Isolationism based on our GDP and economic strength each year.

Why wouldn't the principles of personal finance carry over into global economics? When you're flush with cash, you seek to expand your empire. When money is tight, you lay low and budget wisely.

Pretty soon, the pendulum quits swinging and we're a lot bigger (and more diverse) nation. :)
