they group buy made it only 180 bucks and i live in so cal so the shipping was free; cant beat it.

anyway, to everyone who drives with eibachs in socal; how often do you scrape?

I noticed that even now, with just the front lip spoiler, i scrape alittle more often if i dont go in/out of driveways alittle slower so how bad is it after the springs?

After eibach installed. I have to park my car VERY carefully, and watch out for dips more often. But i still got lots scrapes under my front bumper. I think 19' rims would help a lot...

Lol wut?

You should always keep the diameter of the wheel/tire the same; meaning when you increase wheel size the profile of the tire should get smaller.

So all you will get on 19's is a bumpier ride...

I scrape my front a lot. It's unavoidable in La Jolla sometimes.

I havn't scraped yet..but i've only had them installed less than a week. And i'm still rollin on stock 2.5 wheels. But i've been taking bumps and stuff a bit slower. There's not many potholes around here, but the 91fwy is hell; it has a buncha dips and bumps.

i love the look when it's lowered and the turns are amazing with the RSB.

+1

I never really scrape unless i do something stupid like fly over a speed bump. but that would scrape at stock height. and i did once leaving a parking lot that was at a 45 degree angle, but no avoiding that.

I've only scraped my car twice and they were both huge incline/decline type areas. other then that i drive my car like a bat out of hell I roll 245/45/18's with the pro kit drop and honestly unless you live somewhere where the roads completely suck or theres tons of driveways and parkinglots with entrences on hills you shouldnt have any problem at all. also I was just currious imdavit did you cut your bump stops when you did your spring install? I've driven a ton of lowered cars on tons of different spring setups the eibac setup on our cars isnt at all that bumpy compared to most.

Ime rockin 245/35/20's ftmfw w/ eibachs and I have yet to scrape. But I am very careful parking and going over speed bumps and sharp inclines. You defenetly need to be more careful, but its worth it. The worst is parking because every curb is higher than your lip, and if you pull too far forward you are going to scrape. Narrow drive threws also suck, but if you are careful you shouldnt have any problems. On the road I have yet to bottom out or scrape and thats even cruising the 405 speeding in the fast line just after the grade headed towards L.A. If you have driven it, you know how messed up that freeway is there.

LOL..well obviously this is your first "dropped" car. I hardly scrape but scraping in a dropped car is inevitable. Just be cognizant when approaching dips and what not. Always go into it at an angle an go very slowly and you should be fine

They do if you get a bigger tire.

My 19"s give me a few more mm of clearance.

deflate your tires from 33 to 28. that should help out a lot, if you want more smooth then deflate them to 25psi. you'll never feel bumps. ever.

Speed bumps are the only time i ever scrape, and its just barely, and its only because i take the same speed bump all the time at the pub, and think i can go faster over it (meaning faster than 2 miles an hour) all the time.

For reference, this is a weird speed bump with the ground leading up to it sloping up, and the ground after it sloping down and away.

Oh and he was joking about deflating the tires. Do not do that.

no serisouly, deflate them, it's pretty much the only EASY way to smooth the ride. tire wear will go up and mpg too. be warned , but since it's the stocker it shouldn't matter lol. try it out for yourself

if you want a smooter ride you can always remove the front and rear sway bar and swap some softer spring and dampers.
