I have a new set of Nitto NT05's on my RB powered S13

There are definitely two things you don't do with these tires1. Forge rivers2. plow snow

These are definitely summer tires meant for applying power to the ground. I am extremely happy with the performance and how they look (very aggressive). This car is my daily driver but I like to take it to the drag strip. these hooked up extremely well and just launched the car. I don't show off in staging or big burnouts. I just like to surprise the domestic guys with what a little Nissan can do. I can still spin the tires pretty easily on the street but get the Nitto's on the drag strip and it is a very solid launch. I am by no means a professional drag racer i just like to occasionally take it out and trash it around a bit. I went with a VERY wide 275 on my S13 and I'm happy I did. They were a perfect match for the power of the car. I have no doubts they would work perfectly at a N.A.S.A event or for the occasional SCCA event. After these I would/will be soon buying more. I was pretty hooked Yokohamas especially for my SCCA events but I will be running a set of these on my Datsun Roadster I'm prepping for SCCA only events.

How much power are you putting down at the wheels? I'd like to see what your 60 ft time will be with these.

Are those MB Weapons in the second pic? I can't tell if they poke out much or not...

Plz tell me what wheel specs allow you to run 275/40's all around on stock fenders... Pleeease!

275? They don't look that wide to me. I think we need more pics.

They are indeed 275's on all four corners.

I had to threaten Jason with bodily harm to get him to discard the "stretched" look.

They're on MB Weapons, 17x9, and I believe the offset is +15 on all four corners.

Really? Nitto's must run really small to look that square on a nine inch wheel... Looks almost like a 255...

Do you know if he has any problems with his power steering overheating with that much tire up front?

Nittos do run small from what I hear.

Look good though, how are they in the rain?

Thanks!

I was planning getting these also for auto-x this season, but I wonder how they stack up against the Dunlop Star Specs, Kumho XSs, or even the new Bridgestone RE-11s?I know one thing and that is the price is lower for the Nittos and that is a big plus.

Pics are deceiving. Car sits at nearly stock height, so that has something to do with it.

Power steering overheating is much more a function of the system being poorly maintained than it is tire size. I've boiled over PS reservoir on a stock car with 195's in front.

Thanks for the valuable input! I once read a post by someone saying the running 265+ width tires in the front would require a powersteering cooler.

Does anyone have more/better fitment pics of this car?

As you can see I could use some fender flairs but they don't stick out too far.

Power steering hasn't been an issue. In fact after some really good sessions I can see the level raised only a bit. I do have allot longer lines to and from the reservoir just for capacity sake.

275's

My 60; times have improved because of the grip. I don't get the wheel hop/chatter I used to.

I hate it. Width varies from company to company although their sizes are same. idk, my 235 Falkens look wider than this. Car looks sick. I love it.

Excellent. I bet a set of these in 255 or 275 would fit quite nicely on on 17x9.5+12 with at roll and pull all around...
