I thought this would make for an interesting thread...

Lets hear it guys: Whether you have a back-breaking stiff-*** suspension, gutted interior with no music, or whether you sweat like a pig in the summer days with no AC, I want to know what kind of **** you have to go through when you drive your car. Also, let us know if you think it's worth removing all your pleasant accomodations for the sake of performance! :)

i think riding around with no carpet and no radio is retarded. you cant honestly tell me you noticed a differance with the removal of >25 pounds. if weight is so important, go on a diet or cut off your arms. hey, who really needs arms anway?

Although I did see on Maury one time a chick who drove around who had been cut in half. Pretty sweet. Besides legs weigh more than arms anyways.

Hatchback, Tien HE's with no rubber junk installed between the coils and the mounts so they make tons of noise, apexi N1duals, no rear seats, no plastic or carpet of any kind behind the rear strut towers. Ac compressor was making noise so i stole the belt to use on my ps pump

Hmmmm....

Sometimes my 10-disc Bose audio system skips, or the heated leather seats don't quite heat up fast enough. My power tilt/telescoping steering wheel moves a little slower than I'd like, and eight-way power seats are SO 1990's - I need 10-way adjustments! The damn cashmere headliner shows dust, and every once in a while, I can hear the faintest hint of road noise. Have to keep adjusting the A/C setting higher so my fingers don't freeze, and the humongous sunroof lets in WAY too much sunshine...

Just hand over the trophy - Anything for enduring this horrible suffering.

Au contraire!! I do believe I have you beat seeing as my car has been down almost as long as yours, but I have NEVER driven it, or any other 240! My first driving experience with a 240 will be a boosted experience :D I also have no radio and no backseat, and I'm about to loose all my rear carpeting. The radio's place was taken over by gauges.

It will ruin 50/50 weight distribution. :thinker

Wow... that's pretty hardcore. and this is in a street machine..?

I like my fully loaded car. The only time it was annoying to drive was when I was carrying a vlsd, and it flipped over when I took a turn, and some of the oil oozed out of that air release pipe(whatever it's called). It made the car smell like 10 year old motor oil.. But it bothered my passengers more than it did me.

And after my brake pads went out, I resorted to downshifting when I wanted to brake so I didn't hear that annoying screech.

..and the power steering leak is no good either..

...but I must say the most difficult thing I've had to endure with my car was listening to music with the stock(staticy) speakers. It was hell!

Oh, I would have to say the smell of the oil that leaked over the entire bay burning off. Everytime I try to enjoy a warm day with the windows open I have to resist the urge to vomit as the stench fills the car (but I get used to it after a while.) Also, the crank-powered driver's window, has a tendency to jam and get stuck half way down. Kind of a problem when you are at a drive through window.
