you'd be surprised what these engines can do, there are some motors making a little over 300hp NA. pretty much any cam manufacturer can make a cam for you.

Cams!!! Could I use them with a FI motor too? What would be the outcome? Will one have to mill the cam towers with your cams?

Also on a different topic, but Devious, I keep wanting to ask you if one can make that ZControl software work with the KA bins that we have? It seems tor ead them but the vallues are all off and it keeps shutting down when i try to change something...

Ive been working on this lately, so you have a zcontrol circuit adapter hooked up to your sohc ecu and its feeding out some sort of data? how do you have this wired up? I recently ordered some parts and i believe i have figured out how to make it work but id really like to know how youve got yours set up to feed zcontrol any close to usable data. What i have found, and what i plan to do is very simple so this may be the way you have done it. There is no pins in the blue connector for these tho and you would have to solder direct. email me if you get a chance.

edit: about the cams, my first stage NA grind wont be suited so well for turbo. Approx. specs are 275 duration and .450" lift for both intake and exhaust. Hopefully in time ill have a turbo specific cam for the sohc. The cam towers are machined with these cams, unless you are also using a solid adjustable lifter conversion.

Well, I don't have anything setup for the ZControl unit, I just tried to open our bin files with the ZControl software. It does open them, but all the values are off and the RMPs are off and it crashes constantly.

Sorry to jack the thread.

Back tot he original question: I did an intake mod for my SOHC, just by making my own short ram, and relocating the battery to the trunk. Then I fooled around with the SAFC on stock in jectors, leaned it out a bit, and I think I got some power out of it. Then I turboed the car, but now my rings are shot.

Devious, as soon as I get my ring specs, I'll be ordering them from you, along with the bearings. You said that the ones you sell are as good as the chromoly ones for the Altima, right?

yes the rings are just as good as the late altima ones. I dont know how that swap came about tho, because really you cant use late altima rings in other ka pistons. The depth of the ring groove is different.
