hey all, am picking up a set of 17X10's (rear) VOLK rims from a fellow NICO member.

The problem i have is what size tires will fit nicely, i.e. what do you have on your x10's?

i'm looking at probably 275/45/17, not sure exactly what size will work the best. unfortunately tire rack dot com gave me the generic "We reccomend 205 or 215's for your vehicle (S13)" tried to email them back to clairify but no response as of yet.

before you tell me to search, did it just so yall know. couldn't find any good info.

let me know what you have.

thanks :rockon

You'd be better off with a 275/40/17

what profile are you running to get the 235-245's on there? best i've done is 185's on a 8" but that's with 60 pros... would like to see some pics of them!

well that will help keep the cost down too. she's gonna be fairly quiet until i get some plans hashed out with my other car....then it's 240 tinker-time. got some plans but nothing set in stone yet...hence my trip to japan this fall.

thanks for the picture, looks hot. love the stretched sidewall, get's no better than that! haha

The 10" has a different face from a 7-9". Sunken look. I wish the 9" looked like that.

:boxing :thumbd

Since when is power the solve all for rear tire traction... you know that form of motorsports that has been around since the adaptation of the motor vehicle commonly refered to as "grip" racing. Yeah, we can make use of a 265 :ylsuper

Don't stretch a tire, do it proper and you'll have a much better setup. If you wanna be a l337 driftwhore like Daniel and Ryan then by all means take a 165/70/14 (why stop at just one directional form of stretching?) and make that bad boy fit on that flawless 10".

Edit: The boxer smily is in rythm with my Live Bad Boy Bill set... fun for hours! :D

bicycle tire on a 11.5" wheel > all of your hipari tire experiences combined.

it's like a rubber band. and in drifting, lasts about as long.

yea i pulled the fenders. you could probably make it fit without that if you ran a lot of camber?
