So I have a crazy azz idea that I think would be a good idea.
I love the roof in my pathfinder and want some better sound but
don't want to use the space up w a standard sub box. I was looking at
this little Bose unit and was thinking you could possibly cut this into the
back cup holder area near the third row seating??? It's pretty small so
it may work. Thoughts? My question is, could you splice the 120V wall plug
into any other electrical system of the truck so that it would #1 stay charged
and #2 turn on/off with the Pathfinder? Hmmmm

Is a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering good enough?

Your car is 12V DC, the wall wart for the speaker inputs 120V AC. So to use the wall wart, you would need an inverter to
turn 12V DC into 120V AC. It should be at least a "modified sine wave inverter", a "true sine wave inverter" would be better
but they can be pricey. It uses 600 mA, so you would need about an 80 watt inverter at least (no problem, about the smallest
I've seen is 100W).

The output of the wall wart is 17-20V DC at 1A. There are DC to DC converters, I think I've seen them at Radio Shack.

My biggest concern is: this is pretty simple stuff. If you have to ask how to do it, you probably shouldn't be tackling it
yourself.

Yea someone on another post pointed out some flaws in this as well. Just trying to find something to give my truck better sound without having a big a** box in the back. Thanks for the information though.
