All is good news from the Aussie side of things i have a drift meet next weekend, so i am babying it this week, and trying to iron out the small little blip i have every now and then on accelartion.. but yeah, my boost is down atm (11psi to usually 14), it's getting pretty hot here atm cause of summer, yesterday was 38 degrees celcious, so the car stayed at home, didn't wanna chance pinging her and killing it, whe it's been such a great engine.

My 200sx runs like a champ, no issues at all. She was alive for at least one trip to Nurburgring or Hockenhiemring a month last year (usually two), and soon as I throw in my collection of goodies I have here, she will be even better come this spring. She has weekly (if not every other day) sprints on the autobahn of 220 km/h and above.

yay! i finally get the chance to say that my CA runs GREAT! (again)

Aside from the chipped ECU hickup and a fabbed wastegate actuator rod that was too long which made things incredibly laggy, i haven't had any issues with my CA. After over a year and a half of being down because i was lazy and i was building my stash of parts to rebuild the motor, it started up and has purred ever since. starts right up within a second of turning the key and idles perfect at ~1000rpm and drops when it warms up to ~800. still needs a good tune and hopefully i can get the spool to happen a little sooner (10psi @4000rpm w/ a GTiR t-28), but i'm satisifed with my CA.

Work i accomplished to get my motor running well and make sure it stays that way:CP oversized pistonsbored blockdecked blockresurfaced headrebuilt headTomei Super Grommet Metal HeadgasketARP head studsbearings and ringsnew oil pumpnew seals/waterpump/timing belt/tstatDSM 450cc injectorswalbro 255 pumpz mafearly ssauto equal length manifold (hope it lasts, please last )ssauto elbowno name downpipeBRM 3" dual tip cat-back w/ resonator (still a little too loud for me)hallman manual boost controllerhks ssqv - vented with no issues aside from the occasional backfire on decelerationrelocated batteryoil pressure gage to keep an eye on thingsdual efans from early 90's maxima

special thanks to boostboy for selling me a great motorrafi for helping me w/ my ecueveryone else that has posted in the CA forum for providing the information i needed in SEARCH

Man, enjoy that good idle... All the german 200sx's I've worked on have idle issues whenever you do anything to it. Heck, just to get my car to stop dying I had to play with the AAC after throwing in my front mount.

What exactly did you modify to solve the idle issues?I'm at the point that I might order all new idle controle pieces from nissan japan.I'd hate to do that and find it was something else.

Oh and my car ran like a champ until I killed the stock turbo.Even then it still "ran" well, it just made large smoke screens out the back when I sat at a light too long...

I got a whole new setup, FMIC, custom manifold, T3 turbo and it ran great while I had an emulator :D Burned a ROM the wrong way so it's just sitting until my Xtronics romulator arrives Hopefully it will come today and I'll take a vid of the car.

After nearly a full morning of scouring the lines for leaks, I finally got the idea to open the aac more. Reached on the back of it, loosened the bolt a bit and it idled fine and was drivable.

Ive had my ca for about 7-8 months now, and I havent had any major problems as of yet. Sure it leaks a little oil, and I have no idea where my water goes because it goes down a tad every week or so. But I just put some more fluids in and im fine. I daily drive my ca, and i also drive it from Vegas to Cali for drifitng events and back, and still my engine is solid! Ca's can sure take quite a beating!

My CA ran pretty good, had a couple wiring issues but fixed them no problem. it was an unknown mileage automatic motor that i got for 200$ from a 510 friend. made 190 RWHP at 15lbs iirc. 2nd time out on the track the oil pump failed giving me no oil presure and i spun a bearing, no big, i got a second motor being built up.

I have to say mine is running very nicely now that it is finally done and I have the SAFC "issues" all sorted out.
