Who runs a 240/240 cam set up?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I know with so many people running 248/248 there has to be an excess of s13 intake cams just lieing around. for you s14 boys 16 more degrees of duration is golden, but 8 more is still better than a paltry 232 degrees....

I have four KAs, but unfortunately 2 are s14. My coupe utilizes both exhaust cams, so for my freshly rebuilt s14 i hooked up the 240/240 set up. I have no question as to whether it will run, but since i might not be dropping this motor in for about a month i was wondering if people had experiences with this set up. if a different set up is more ideal i'd love to hear some input, keeping in mind we're working with 240 and 232 cams.

i know thats not true, i remember a couple of posts back a cat named like chezdik or something to that extent was installing a 240/240 set into his wifes car, but he couldn't get it started

huh? i can only imagine that 240/240 is less than ideal, especially if you are paying anyone to make your cams, unless you get a ridiculous amount of lift

the best simulation ive gotten is using a program called dyno2000, and it kinda sucks. But it really doesnt show me any gains down low just a little power loss up high, but i think some variables maybe a tad bit off, plus its more for big V8 meatheads to test out their wedge set ups. And guy, i dont know what the hell youre talking about

You can expect to get around 8 HP with 240/240 along with an intake and header. 248/248 makes around 12 whp.
