goal for my car next year is to get into 11's. Would like to get 11.4-11.5 ultimately. just wondering you guys who do run 11's what kind of HP / tq do you guys put out? Im in the market for a new turbo and want to be sure I can be in the hp range to potentially hit 11's. I ran 13.2@106 / 13.3@108 (with 2.0/2.1 60 ft) this season on pretty much a stock rb25det, tuned 12psi for 266rwhp. i will be upgrading tires and most likely LSD (probably after turbo setup is complete) to try to better my 60ft.

would 400whp be enough to get me there? this is in an s13 hatch btw.any help and advice would be appreciated

400whp is definatly enough for 11's. I did it a few years ago with some heavy 17" sportmax's and DR's with 380whp

266hp is all it made at 12psi?

Wat is your 1/8th mile times?

Im running a rb25 on Stock turbo @ 15PSI and I pull 1.6 60fts and 7.80-7.90's in the 1/8th mile which should be mid to high 12's, But I dont have a 1/4 mile track around here to see.

Sounds like your motor is lacking something, I would think at 12PSI you should be making well over 280hp, Also 400 Hp should get that car in the mid to Low 11's easy.

i dont remember what my 1/8 mile times were, ill have to check the slips again if i can find them. im not too dissapointed with the hp... ive seen guys here with worse numbers. i mean, mine is an S1, stock 250hp @ the flywheel. also, thats 90 octane gas, which is "premium" up here and w/o LSD

also, picked up a new set of wheels, 17x8 in the rear. looking to get a set of DR for, what do you guys recommend?? and where can i buy them? seems like those mickey thompson's are bad *** for low 60 fts. i was looking on a few websites but couldnt find any with prices. also saw that there were like 3 different MT DR.

i run N/A z32 wheels with 255/55 BFG Comp T/A drag radials not that new crappy design

this was done on a stock rb25 block with a gt3076r and about 18-20 psi on a base power fc map

I'm making 368 whp on a Dyno Dynamics...

Latest pass:60' - 1.931/8 - 7.944 @ 931/4 - 12.10 @ 122

I'm going back on Sat. to launch for real and get my 11 sec. slip. The mph is there, but the ET is miserable. I had to make a 250 mile road trip the day after so I didn't launch it hard (had no backup axles).

Vid --> http://www.streetelite.net/vids/12_1_pass.mpg

For tires, check http://www.summitracing.com They'll be right on par w/ the lowest prices you'll find retail wise unless you know someone. On an 8", I'd go 255 width, but your best bet is to find a 15" wheel and get a bias ply wrinkle wall slick that you use only for the track. Reduce your chances of snapping an axle and it'll hook better.

That was from back in the day. He was probably still stock block KA / s13 at the time. He finished that car with a 700+whp KA-T. What he is building now is much more evil

Me, I ran the 11.7 last fall and run 7.5 1/8ths all day long. Haven't been on the dyno with the tomie cams and 25psi but it will be 380-400whp. I ran the 11.7@116 with 345whp and MT ET streets. All you need is a gt3076 or a borg warner S258, even a holset HX35 for low 11's with the right tune. I have a GT2871 and a 2.0L and I easily run 11's, you should have no problem with the RB25!
