Who makes Spec Star clutches? Obviously Spec Star must be a fairly new company or are they just an off shoot of a larger company? Alot of internet companies sell them, but like every one i'm on a tight budget and don't want to buy a piece of crap clutch thats rated for a torque it can't hold?

Whats a good clutch for a fair price? flywheels?

Nismo and HKS have some pretty cheap clutch and flywheel setups. How long do these clutches last? Some of my friends with boosted Hondas have burnt out 3-puck and 4-puck clutches in 6 months with only mild abuse?

SPEC makes the clutches...they havent been popular for very long....they are popular because they are inexpensive. IMO you can visually notice the 'cheapness' when you see one. Compared to a quality ACT or RPS clutch etc...there is a big quality difference. Some people have good results...some people burn them out quick cause they dont break them in properly. IMO SPEC is like Centerforce in respect some people have had good experience, others hate....a company like ACT is built on good quality.

I wouldn't put SPEC in my car, my buddy burned his out hardcore. On a clutch that was rated for over 300HP.

But then again, I do have a Centerforce. But I will be buying ACT next time. Too many good results with them to buy anything else from here on out.

Well for one there are a lot 'better' than ACT out there as well...I use a custom clutch from Clutch Specialties, i would also say RPS is up there, and any twin plate clutch is going to be better...we can go on and on, but for $ for $, i'd say RPS is still on top of ACT
