I recently spun a bearing in my s-13 sr and I was just wondering if anyone has heard who makes the best aftermarket replacements and also where I can find a high volume oil pump for the sr.

Ive serched a lot and have found that it is difficult to find info on preventative measures!

Any information is greatly appreciated!!!

Oil pump on the DET is already a "high flow" unit. The only way to get more flow is a hybridized OEM pump.

stock bearings are really really good. what would you improve about them? its the hydrodynamic film that takes the load right?

ill put my money where my mouth is. im using regular nissan bearings with really good oil. i have seen the stock bearings in a 150k motor still have the babbit on it. the babbit is the white coating that you can rub off with your fingers. in fact i have a vq35de in my bay right now with two wiped mains. the other mains all have the babbit(sp?) still there.

Nissan OEM is fine unless you constantly spin above 8,000rpm or produce 400+ crank HP. Then go with Nismo.
