Get a y-pipe and run the stock exhaust if you cant afford one right away. Megan racing is a decent price and it doesnt sound too ricey, kinda quiet which i like because cops around here can be d!ck about that stuff.

plus a high flow cat. i'd keep the stock mufflers but to get the efect of a full aftermarket exhaust take it to a muffler shop and replace the pipe from cat to muffler - has a bend that's restrictive - and get a madrel bent one.

and isn't the meagan racing exhaust pretty much a 1 to 1 copy from the cattman one? And i heard with an aftermarket y-pipe they are really loud. And beside the sounds and looks mufflers on our cars don't add any performance at all, because the stock one is not restrictive. Stillen has their y-pipe's on sale. 378 shipped. Better than cattman's 99999999999999999999999 right now because they are out of stock and don't know when they will have new one's. At least for the 01 that is

do you need the y-pipe too? if it's down from the cat i'd just go to a muffler shop - cheaper and you can tell them what you want mad up. if you have some extra $$$ go with a true dual exhaust - although you'll need 2 cats if you get emission tests in your area.

is it true that it is nearly as good as cattman's since it is pretty much a cattman copy? what are the actual differences? that seems like quite the bomb deal, considering it comes with the b-pipe and midpipe for 360. Cattman sells that for 599

I called greedy on that and they told me the evo wont fit on my 2k2 now I'm wondering cuz I saw a pic of a max with it. So will it work or not or does it just need some modification?

Oh and btw I just bought the last Megan Racing exhaust from Megan so good luck finding one if that is what you want. I did see some on ebay tho but they were like $450 shipped. I'll let everyone know what it's like when I get it.

I'm Sorry, the one I was thinking about was the Greddy EVO2.

This is the exact car that had the particular system I speak of.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/761035 Exhaust pics are about 3/4 the way down the page.

I have the Greddy SP2 on my Max, and I love it. Deep growl between 1500 and 3500rpms, and it howls at WOT.

Any free flowing cat-back is going to result in improvements. One of the strengths of the VQ series is that, even in stock forms, the better you can make them breath (intake and exhaust) the more power you'll make.
