I'd trust Mickenny or the guy I'm getting my clip from. I'll let you know how mine looks when I go pick it up.

Jimmy, Seeing as you need someone to trust I will point you in the right direction. Give Scott Lakin at Trial Japan/USA a try. He'll absolutely take care of you throughout the buying process.[email protected]They opened a shop in Arizona and are more than willing to bring in anything you'll need.

i told him to check out mickenny for the whole thing, but he wanted to see if he could get a deal somewhere else also. he is selling his turbo vr6 to help fund the project.

I would not buy one from anyone unless you can see the exact motor you are buying befor you give up any money. Also DO NOT buy from ASPA motor in Houstin, TX. The one I bought from them looked like it was droped off a truck, pullys damaged, metal cracked and had rtv all over the place instead of gaskets. One of the turbo's was chiped, and had a big dent in it. All the connectors were bent or broken off, I was told I was recieving a wiring harness and then called to ask about when I was going to get it and was called a lier for a week until they finally concented that they had it and did not know why it was not shipped out. I then told them this engin was not of acceptable quality and they would not take it back. In fact they said this is one of the better quality JDM sets they have seen. Just a warning. Also I would not go threw Night 7 because I dont think Cameron is an honest guy. I had a bad experance dealing with him and I dont think he told me the truth about what was going one once. You really should buy from someone you can trust or you sould see the motor in person before you buy.

It is tough nowadays especially for someone like me who lives in the boonies, but I agree 100%. If you SEE the motor, you know it is 1)in stock and ready for you to take...none of this wait months and months **** 2)know the condition and get soem face time. IF you see the motor, see them doing the leakdown test, see them doign compression, see them check the turbo, you can know exactly what is going on. If I bought anohe rmotor, I would look for importers in the SD, MN, IW, ND, UT area. Kinda out of the way but 1) The money I saved shipping it would pay for gas, etc and 2) I could see what the hell is going on. I go lucky with venus, but after seeign what happened with Nismo241, I wouldnt buy another motor off the internet again unless it was a cheap *** D16 that was liek 100 bucks

Night its nothing personal against you bro, I just wised up to it. This business is about one thing...money. None of these so called enthusiats turned importers, cares about the consumer. After seeign what happened first hand to many people, I dont trust none of ya'll with my money without seeing what the hell is goign on first hand. Whether it is availability, condition or anything else. IF I get preliminary pics, I'll come take a look see. IF it is ****ed, then oh well wasted my time, but it saves heartache later.

I did a lot of shopping around, and got the jerk around from most places. I got my RB25DET from http://www.dragdriftautox.com. Luis(i think) sent me pictures, responded to all my 20+ emails. Called me, walked me through how the delivery stuff would work.. etc. I just bought the motorset, but it was in great shape and cranked over the first time. They were one of the few places who actually had motors in stock, and were friendly.

Anyway, the only real way to know is to go look at it yourself, unfortunately it is like buying a used car. Someone could polish it up pretty for you, and it still be a pile of s***

Good luck

nope it is for a buddy of mine. you kidding me i have to live with my parents again cause we are trying to sell my house. i don't have enough money to feed my wife and myself, let alone to buy a motor of any kind.

we have raised about 50k for gia's operations. although i would love to raffel off a rb motor to you guys to try to make money off it, i don't even have money to buy a intake manifold to raffel off. my daughters situation is not a joking matter.

maybe you should start a thread dedicated to the sale of the motor so it gets noticed more than this thread. possibly could get the attention of more a variety of forum readers, just a thught.

thanks for the help, we need any kind of help possible.
