THOSE GUYS ARE MORONS.... FOR $11K YOU ARE GETTING A STOCK 2JZ WHICH IS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE RB26. AND THE RB26 HAS BEEN KNOWN TO HANDLE OVER 1500HP JUST LIKE ANY 2JZ....

THAT COMPANY IS STUPID, AND ANYONE WHO BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM THEM SHOULD REALLY DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH RATHER THAN RELY ON ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU.

LOL.. You might want to have another cup of coffee this morning. I don't know anything about that company, but I would never want 900hp in a 240 anyway. You could never get that power to the ground, and a dyno queen might as well be a carpet queen.

The link I posted is for someone who did a 1JZ, and that would be much cheaper option and a good alternative to the RB.

i believe the 1jz put down more power reliably than the rb25 in stock form...?

i initially was planning on the 2jz buildup swap into my s13...i have the block and etc...but it start to get expensive quick....i'll try this again later on.

I WOULDN'T WANT/NEED ANYTHING MORE THAN 400WHP FOR A 240SX ANYWAY I WAS JUST SAYING THAT THEIR COMPARISON WAS A BIT BIASED AND UNFAIR.

That is in Canada... so it's more like 8,789.19 USD... which isn't too bad... considering the going price of a 2J is pretty high... and then another 2k+ for the 6spd trans if you can find one.

Just some food for thought...

A 2JZ TT will eat an RB26 all day.

They are MUCH stronger than RB's stock for stock, believe it or not. And with their displacement they put out alot more torque.

I'd love to have the 2JZ in a 240. I would have gone with one but I really don't feel like fabricating mounts and blending Toyota wiring into a Nissan. Plus I'm fine with making 500whp. If you don't need more than 500, there's really no point in doing a 2JZ swap.

the dimension is very close to the rb's but it would have more hood clearance due to the nature of the intake manifold.

that's going to be one wild 240. and the price tag isn't cheap either.

No. The 2JZ is not superior the the RB26 if anythign RB26=2JZ. there was a HUGE discussion on this very engine comparison over at the 240 forums a while ago. to say that the 2JZ is better than the RB26 is an opinion and far from a fact.

id say RB26=2JZ=RB30 they all have there pros/cons, its more personal preference at that level.
