I'm with Greg on this. I've never raced a car around a track but with my bike it's not uncommon for me to charged down the track at 180+ heading towards a turn then trail brake and down shift 2 (thank God for slipper clutches) all the while leaning into the turn, knees scrapping the pavement and just before I hit the apex, I'm accelerating out of it. Steady throttle control is the key.AZhitman wrote:That would surprise me. I'd have to hear his rationale on that. I'm no expert, but I've never heard that from a seasoned racer. Not doubting you - I've just always been taught that the fastest way around any course is either accelerating or decelerating at all times.
team green rider? I raced an '03 zx-6rr for my last few yrs in cali...one of, if not the, first market bike with a slipper. amazing...but deadly when you get used to it and jump on somebody else's bike w/o the slipper.dangeris wrote:I'm with Greg on this.
