Anybody know any reputable shops or people for this job, and also pricing on this task? I am planning on replacing headgasket with a stock replacement and adding ARP head studs.

Should I get a complete gasket kit for the head that includes valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets etc. Or just replace the head. Im not sure which is cylinder 1 on the car, I assume the closest to the cam gears, but i may be wrong, that is where it is leaking coolant and probably why my compression is down a little. I think my last compression test was atleast 150 on all cylinders with a variance of 5-8psi.

You sure its not the water pump itself that isn't leaking? Its right under the intake cam gear.

yea that compression/variance seems too good to have a busted hg. get shop to leakdown test cylinder 1 to check, if doesn't leak out hg its good then get them to pressure test coolant system and check for the leak. cake!

This leak is on the exhaust side, and the compression test was when I bought the motor so those numbers could be skewed now. Sorry I should of said that in the beginnning my fault. But I will do a compression test and leakdown test this week.
