I have a dyno sheet of my KA24DE making 148.8hp with 141.1 torque to the wheels with a stock ECU. Know I have a 95 ECU programmed by JWT. The dyno room was 97 degrees! Im sure the motor makes 160HP now. Maybe 170 on a real cold night...Ill post it as soon as I get it in the right formatt.

ahh ok.. I looked at your car and the mods...

It says you have cams, intake, exhaust header, pulley, exhaust, electric fans, and ported intake/exhaust side of head, but you said in the earlier posts that you make 148hp to the wheels.. shouldn't it be more than that with all those mods? I'm not doubting you or anything, but it should be a lot more with those mods :)

Import tuner did a dyno test on a 110k miles KA24DE 95 240sx and with only intake, pulley, and exhaust, they netted about the same amount you had.. but then again, import tuner isn't exactly known for scientific tests.

So far I have intake (no cold air extension), pulley, and headers. With the N1 duals, I am hoping to net a little over 150hp to the wheels... is that realistic?

This dyno sheet was done with a stock OBD2 ECUI have not dynoed the car since I installed a JWT ECUand port matched the head to the header and the intake mostly doing polishing not porting. My intentions were to make the ports flow faster "not to be opened up completely". I still use 270cc injectors and a stock fuel pump. I would want my head flow tested if I were porting meaning opening up the size of the ports. I’m guessing around 165 to the wheels now. My G-Tec says 175hp sometimes but that is at night in 50 degree temperatures.

I have my dyno sheet in front of me, but don't have access to a scanner. I put down 159.8rwhp in Tampa a few months ago, it was severly hot that day too. I have the following on the car:Stillen hi-flow with rightside intake pipeS13 camsHotshot headerUR pulleyStillen flywheelVitek 4 puck carbon clutchVitek wiresRandom Tech catJWT ECUBee*R 80mm stainless exhaust

At the time of the dyno, I was running my stock exhaust. Technoman, I think you're hoping for too much out of the ECU, you might see about 8-10 gain but not the 20 or so you expect. I'll also note that every car is different and responds differently, 2 local automatic cars have dynoed recently, one was stock and put down 126rwhp, the other had I/H/E and only did 124. My car seems to have been "built on a Wednesday" since it's more responsive than others to improvements, but we can all agree 170 is probably the limit on a stock internal motor.

Hey, how is that Vitek clutch, you had it on for long? How is the pedal feel compared to stock? Can you get smooth lauches out of it?

R240 that sounds like an nice car you have! I know that JWT ECU I have is not making 20hp. I really dont know how much its making. Id guess somewere around 10hp.

Wow 4 puck must be pretty unstreetable. Why did you choose 4 instead of 6 puck? I have a pretty crappy 6 puck but it is way streetable than the 4...

Actually, it's not bad. It's a full face disc with a sprung hub, so it's much more tolerable than a true pucked disc without springs. Pedal feel is very nice, more towards the feel of a Porsche 911. It did take the full 500 break in miles to get used to it though.

I just got back from the South FL Nissan Meet I seen a 240 16 vavle do 175.5 hp on the dyno. Stock internals. CAI/Headers/Exhaust, Lighten Flywheel can remember if he had a chip or not.

Wow, thats somewhat a little high for stock internals. Are you sure he didn't change out the pistons, milled the head, or had head work?

Or if it was compensated for weather/temperature?

Is there alot of clutch 'chatter? Is it hard to make smooth engagements/ launches?

Chit, I go to Florida A LOT. I've hung out at the Bennigans in Orlando many a time, I know Jay, Rob, John, Paul, Shawn, Dan, and a few others local there. I also have been to every FA meet for the past 2 years, in Gainesville, Tampa, and most recently Melbourne. I'm planning on moving there within the next 2 years, I have more friends throughout Florida than up here. I've never raced in Orlando, only in Gainesville, but that track is as bad as here in Atlanta. I got lots of pics of my car if someone wil host them.

Nope. Vitek's main office is here in Atlanta, they offer a good list of clutch upgrades and are working on a line of LSDs too. I know the guys well from buying their wires sets, they deal with NOPI and Stillen heavily and they sponsored Chris May and another local guy a while back and I'm good friends with both of them too so I got the clutch at a good price, but it will still close to $400. They make a 6 and 3 puck too. Clutchmasters makes a similar unit to mine as well. Maxin, there is a *slight* chatter if you don't engage quickly, but it's very liveable. Hard launches require a little slip to get it right, but I don't drag race much at all, it's perfect for autocross because there's no waiting for it to grab.

this is a little off topic but definately related... i've had this 6-puck for a while now and i've noticed one thing. IT TRASHED MY transmission. I hope some of you know what i can add to my next transmission so that this won't happen again.
