I'll agree with you Right now your totally right the auctions support that wave of old American muscle cars... and yes the 240 does have a cult following...hbpignosePA wrote:still the people who can afford auction cars want the big V8s and power cars.. sure the impalas might be entry level, but they American classics that aren't butchered to death by cultish teens.
the 240 is a cult classic car
not many older people look at the car with admiration, especially with the bad rep we get from people like the original post (nasty vert)
But these same people whom have this Cult following for the 240SX today are going to be the people buying the cars at the auctions in the future... They admire them more then they admire the Current muscle cars... I could have bought a decent camaro and had a project car if I wanted one but I chose the 240SX I like the styling and handling of the little bugger...
And yes we as 240SX owners get a bad rep from all these Riced out rides, but showing one like i have has also set me apart and given me a little bit of respect from the same Muscle car class...I've seen it at shows some of these older guys whom are into the muscle cars don't even go over and look at the newer riced out rides, but at the same time they do come up to me and start asking me questions about my ride... It intrigues them that I took a car that so many rice out and tried to make it a nice classic ride...
