I'm after several of the necessary parts for the 90 Q45 (guide kit w/o chains, motor mounts, sunroof cables, etc), who are the recomended reliable retailers?

Forget retailers, how about authorized wholesalers? Our sponsors will knock your local dealerships silly on price. Scottsdale has a kit put together for exactly what you need with the chain guides. Tell them you want the chain guide kit without the timing chains (but with the oil chain).1-888-216-5328Midway is probably just as cheap/supportive.
