Well, the CA18 I use in my g/f's car is well abused and down right durable. Took it out today and let it bounce off it's rev limiter at 8800rpm (per my SDS and Tacho) just to see if it will blow and to my dismay, when I changed gears the thing just pinned me to my seat and revved out to 8800rpm in the 3rd gear. I will say this particualr one is a true battle engine. My worst ones would be under the management of JWT and company. Wind up the boost to 18psi on the 60-1 turbo and there goes the smoke, dead cylinders and 4 cracked pistons.

Don't get me wrong, there are mostly pulsar owners from Canada who uses the JWT set-up that seem to not have any problems, at least that they are not mentioning to us. Then there's a pulsar owner in Connecticut, whom I sold my famous 173mph engine to, who have had nearly the same results as I. He now uses a Haltech E6K and I don't think he's popping engines anymore. Remember, our ecus from the pulsar were N/A from the start and I was the 1st on this side of the world to get a N/A pulsar ecu converted for a turbo application by JWT and yes, I was the guinea pig.

Tuning maybe better now for this motor as they are not familiar with this engine like they are with say an SR20 or a VG30, so I got crap from the start and was told that it would be somewhat of an experiment. So all you pulsar owners that got your ecus converted, I paved the way for you guys to have somewhat decent running cars with destruction of my own engines:D . And I can almost guarantee that none of them are running more than 15-18psi of boost or they too may very well get to know the insides of their engines like I did

If you see this thing humping in your rearview mirror, show your respect and get the hell out of the way.;)

ive definately mot got the best ca18det, but i know for sure its not the worst. it has survived many circumstances that would have killed any one of my family's other cars. i know full well their ability to not die. ive definately not got an engine as awesome as yours, it is the ca18det champion of the world.

Mine has gone thru a blown head gasket head gasket from running 17 psi on a SR sidemount for 3 weeks.

3 months later after fixing the head gasket, the timing belt broke 2 days later resulting in 6 bent valves.

2 weeks later im out kicking *** again.

This motor keeps going and going and going...

I'd like to nominate my old CA as the worst, 3 sets of crank bearings and 3 cranks must put me near the front. :D
