i got that 2-pack for $15 from wally world. ugly as crap, makes the seats look like a freakin taurus, but if I ever want to show off the leather, keeps it nice and protected i wouldn't recommend spending big bucks for seat covers, but if you do, hardly anything can beat sheepskin

Be a good parent and don't let your kids eat or drink in the car. Of course, this means neither do you as a matter of setting a good example. This is what rest stops accomplish.

antoher assumption on your part. by regulation i must have car seats for my little ones. perhaps i could have made it more clear, but the issue is damaging the leather by the installation of car seats. i suppose an old towel or blanket might work too, just looking for thoughts on something a little more 'finished'.

Ah, then for the back, I don't think the sheepskin will work. Surely a blanket of pad would. Not into child seat technology, but surely some provide protection for the seating surface on which they are installed?

I bought some "seat protectors" from a local child store that fit under the child car seats.

These are made of very thick rubber (well, some sort of flexible plastic, anyway!) that simply "lies" on the seat and back. This prevents the car seats from leaving impressions in the leather and also catches the fortunately now-rare spill!
