Who has removed the s14 Carpet?

Do you need to remove the dash?Or is there a trick to get the carpet out from underneath the dash

I didn't have to take the dash out, but then again I just cut the carpet to take it out.

If you want to keep the carpet then I would take out the dash to remove the carpet complete in one piece.
