Who has installed longer wheel studs....?

Im just wandering who has installed what most people would consider version 1 wheel spacers. I want to do it myself but want to know what Im getting myself into and someone mentioned having to take the hub apart. I have all the tools I know Id need. Just need a little insight into what all has to be done and how difficult it was. Thanks
