I just recieved the chips Jason sent me for reprogramming and i am confused at the internals of the ECU. On the exterior plate there is a sticker mentioning it was tuned by Emance but when i open the cover I see a daughterboard with calum salt written on it. Anyway. underneath the board I found two chips that are identical to the ones Jason sent me. I popped them out and replaced them with the new re-programmed chips ( which were tuned for 440cc injectors and an n60 MAF)I installed the injectors and the maf and I am 98% sure they are installed correctly. I plug the new ECU in and it will bearly idle. Ill take it up to approx 4000RPM and it will smoothen out. Tons of smoke out of the exhaust. Do you guys have any ideas. Im using a 1995 OBDII ECU in my 1997 240sxI am aware I need to relocate 3-4 wires but I just want to make sure before i do
I have emailed Jason, I am just curious to see if you guys have any ideas aswell.
Thanks
What 3-4 wires do you need to relocate? Are they wires that would affect the car at all? Pretty much any wire is going to effect something to the ECU...
And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there have been a lot of bad things said about Jason/Emance. The good news in your situation is you probably can get the CalumSult tuned again by a local professional or use the real-time tuning to try to edit it yourself if you can.
