Who has DARK tint?

When I got my truck, it had 35% on the front 2 windows and the rest stock. I've put a layer of 20% OVER the 35% and the back is still stock. The fronts are darker and it's bugging me. I'm wanting to achieve about 15% overall. Who has windows this dark and how do I get the backs to be about that darkness?

I consider mine dark. 10% front. 5% rear. Just got a 15" 5% windshield strip to, cant see in the car at all basically.

W.O.T. I didn't realize that this particular Q was yours... this is one of my favorite ones on the board.

You put a layer of 5% over the stock tint in the back!? WOW! I definitely don't want mine that dark! The cops around here give ppl. trouble for tint so I want to still be able to see at least the outline of ppl. inside.

I'm tryin to achieve 15% in the back, I think it's about 25% now... it doesn't look as dark as most newer SUV's stock tint. I'm just not sure what % to go with. I guess I'm gonna try a layer of 20% over the stock stuff and see how that turns out.

W O T: OMf f$$ken sexy ride. I'm actually going with the same setup but 20% in the front. 'Im removing my old tints and putting new ones up. Its about 300 bucks which seem like a deal and also putting 5% on the sunroof.

Thanks guys, and yeah I put it over the stock tint, I was told it was alot of hassle and he cut the price down if were just put the 5% over and I wanted it dark as night anyways so thats what we did, you literally CANNOT see in. There are tint laws here to, but Ive never been hassled once for it, and I get pulled over ALOT lol, like bi-weekly.

I couldnt tell you what you have to do to make the rears as dark as the front, but if darkness doesnt matter to you, and you just dont want the fornt darker than the rears, why not peel the front tint off and go a shade lighter?

And John, 5% on the sunroof you probly wont like, the ladies love the sun shining down on the soft smooth stripper skin lol. I opted not to tint it anyways

Yes, I LOVE that my sunroof has no tint! I think I'm goin to go ahead and do the 20% tomorrow afternoon if I have time since I have some layin around my shop... I just KNOW that I will get a ticket 5min after I put it on. I just REALLY miss having dark tint.

I've supposedly got 5% all the way around, I think my fronts block out slightly less light then the rear though. I've received one ticket but it was piggybacked on top of a speeding offense, fought it and lost. I just had a cop friend sign off the ticket and drove off the police lot with it still on

I didn't do the tint myself so not sure on what film was used over the factory tint so sorry can't help you there. I'm pretty sure that the factory tint is in the glass and impossible to remove. $300 kind of seems like a lot, I paid around $200 and they did an amazing job, I'd shop around and bargain them down.

This is 5% up front and it matches the factory rears perfectly which tells me that the rear is 5%.

Idaho allows 20% on the front so we can go dark without getting in trouble. At night you CANNOT see inside. During the day, people can barely see you so you can check out the hotties in the convertible next to you and they can't tell you're a fat old pervert.

But yours is 200 USD and 300CDN seem like a deal here. There removing my factory and putting on new ones or i can remove the old tints and get the new tints put up for 120.
