ok well they do exist the 2002 model and all f50...q45...have u checked it???what is it for...well i think they did it hydrolictly to free some extra ponies and the oil it takes is the the same as the power steering...another crazy thang :facepalm: if u have a sports package have u noticed there isnt a dipstick to check or add transmission fluid yet my owners manuel says there is..funny called 2 infiniti dealerships and thought i was pranking the abou what oil i use for the coolin fan fluid reservoir...lol :rotflmao

I think they switched to an electric fan in '03 or '04? Either way, I thought it was an interesting way to drive a fan... lots of added complexity to a pretty simple process.

for reals its wierd funny too how i have the sport and premium package love the back center console wit first aid kit...makes me fell presidential so when i let my girl drive screw the passger seat imma in the back reclined chillin...screw driving ms daisy...she drivin mr life around..

You can use synthetic automatic transmission fluid for the cooling fan fluid. Synthetic ATF will lower operating temperatures and enhance cold weather performance.

IIRC, Jeep also toyed around with the same scheme on some Grand Cherokees.

Apparently, it's getting more and more difficult to supply adequate DC power to all the electrical accessories in a modern vehicle. Just like Detroit went from 6 to 12 volt electrical systems back in the 1950's as electrical doodads become more common, they've recently been considering going to a 42 volt system.

Well my owners manuak ask for power steering fluid..if i want to go that route i would flush the fluid and willthe resadue of the powersteer cause a problem with the new oil

Any old fluid won't cause any problems. Power steering fluid and ATF are very similar hydraulic fluids. The FSM says that Dexron III is usable, so use a synthetic ATF for best results.
