who has broke this before?

I was driving to my shop area to swap my engine, true pig build, when suddenly I couldnt shift gears. I figurered it was my throw out bearing but this is what I found...so who has broke this and what did you do to fix it...besides getting a new piece..ie welding , some sort of fab work , or what...most likely I will try to get one from the junkyard but Im a little curious to see if this is a big issue cause I didnt even swap my motor yet and it broke so now Im imaging what more than double the power will do to it
