Still have it. I uncovered it, dusted it off with my californa duster, and hit it with some Zaino detail spray. It didn't need anything other than that.

Daughter is still wanting to trade her Max in on a Mustang too.. Found a 98 GT with 44K miles that we looked at and took for a test drive.About the same HP as the Max, but the Max is SO much a better car!!!Better MPG, better reliability, better quality....10 times better car!!!She thinks the Max isn't a 'sporty' car!!!! I've got to show her what the guys/gals in the Max forum do with theirs. Also, the GT is cloth with no sunroof!! Her Max is leather with sunroof and did I mention TEN TIMES BETTER than a MUSTANG!!!!!! Sorry for the rant....sorry for mentioning mustang.....time to take blood pressure again...must focus on something else. Where does she get these foolish ideas??? Sorry, done...

Nice zozo!!

My garage has a sewing machine, surger, embroidery machine, sewing tables....... we closed it in years ago to make another bedroom - now sewing room.

Bob, we have to keep her paymets where SHE can make them. She's also going to college in the mountains where it snows and fwd>rwd in snow. (We did sit in the used 07 with the saleen SC and Borla exhaust....the sound was awesome!)

Nah.... didn't get around to washing either car... they both need it though. We had a very wet spring this year so the cacti are shedding all their dead "skin" and starting to blossom like crazy! I had to work in the yard all day to clean up the dead prickly pear cactus arms and trim back all the Ivy...

I love a clean G though! You guys did a great job! How many coats of wax to you guys apply before you strip it down and start with a clean slate?

Dave, your yard sounds pretty interesting looking compared to mine.post up a pic when you get at moment.

I haven't stripped down either G's since we got them (2 years & 1 years).I've probably put on about 15 to 20 coats on them or more..... Was noticing today that I need to at least strip down the lower sides on my wifes. Was a nice day out! Got a little sunburnt, but not too bad.

I just need to wait for it to get decently warm, say mid 60s. Once that happens up here, you'll be damn sure mine will finally be hand washed and waxed. Lookin good guys.

SVT - that's a fine looking fleet you have there! I deep cleaned the G all weekend... now Q looks neglected. I'll have to clean her up next. The truck is lucky to get a rinse off with the hose while I'm washing the others.

Here's the back yard... This was taken a while back... I didn't get time last night to take pics before the sun went down, but you get the picture...

Lots of cactus and Ivy along the perimeter walls.

View from the back of the yard... Yes we have those cheap plastic green chairs around the firepit... We just don't want to spend a bunch of money on nice lawn furniture only to be cooked in the sun and ruined in one summer.

The outdoor dining room...

The sahuaro cactus outside our bedroom window...

The CRAZY snow storm we got this past winter... It snowed like that for a good 15 minutes! Brrrrr... SNOW DAY!

Send her my way (email,IM...not in person lol). I'll give her plenty of ways to Sportz up her Max and (spend your money doing so).

If it wasn't for the power, my I30 would own my coupe because I did so much in handling mods for that car.

I remember driving my I30 through some twists and turns a year or so ago next to a silver coupe and I started pushing through the turns faster than the coupe. You could tell that the driver wanted to show me up, but they couldn't take the turns as fast (RWD vs FWD and about $2k in suspension and tires).

Dave, Thanks for sharing!! Very different from my grass & trees!!!Could definitely see hanging out there and tossing back a few cold ones in the evening!!

Nate,Right now, she wants a little more growl from the engine. When she had the G20, I did this by taking the wife's Dremel tool to her stock air box and REALLY opening it up. Guess I could ghetto her Max air box too and get some more sound?? Is there a better way on a budget??

The new Avids have made a big difference in handling!!! THe Falkens (512) seem to wonder a bit. The parts guy at Nissan mentioned getting a strut tower brace to help with the lateral movement...Really, don't want to spend a bunch of money....maybe a little.

That's my favorite hobby! That's the Tonto National Forrest in my backyard (2.9 million acres of desert) Each night I sit and watch the sun set over the mountains... the sunsets here are straight out of a Bob Ross painting... breathtaking!Happy clouds!

If you're ever in the valley of the sun, look me up and we'll have that beer you were talking about! Good times!

Richard,

I'm not a huge fan of the ghetto airbox, but it will make the car louder.

I'd check ebay for the strut tower brace. Will probably set you back all of $30 shipped. You can get the rear too if you want, but I think that's a waste.

Check with your local exhaust shop. I had a nice free-flowing muffler put on with a stainless steal K&N tip for $150 ($65 was the SS tip). Had a nice deep bass note.

Then I'd look at some suspension mods. Eibachs with some Tokicos and a camber kit and she'll love that car.

Hey BigWill,

Why did you get an Is?

Oh and Why Why Why (don't say MPG) did you get the 250 and not the 350?

Do you like it?

i am a total toyota and Lexus Fan. I will probably go back to an Is or Gs for my Next Car!

Thanks Nate.I really didn't want to molest her stock Max, but if it keeps her from wanting a Mustang I will. (Not bashing Mustangs here BOB, I just know the difference in a Mustang and a Maxima....I've owned/worked on both... Mustang would be a good SECOND car for her after college)

Air box might get some abuse this weekend. She also mentioned rims......so, I might have to look into a set for her.And we do have a good muffler shop up by the lake. The guy makes X pipes for Roushe, so you would think he's pretty good.He did do a good job putting duals on a V6 mustang for my oldest.I agree on the front brace only.....for now, especially without any other suspension mods. that should be enough.
