I'm from ontario ca, but i will be moving to Costa Mesa in 1 1/2 weeks. But i'm down! Give me a email. I don't care, I'll sleep in my car! Or hopefully someone has a timeshare, then we can all pitch in a little money!

That would be tight. Bunch of 240's on the way to LV. Damn, but no driving fast, I dun want a NV ticket! LOL

I'll have my 240 by then too.. but I don't know if the 180K mile SOHC is up for the 4 hour long drive.

And then again, I got school starting the monday after that convention weekend. lol

I'll be rolling my old Dakota, but I am going. I'll probably leave on Friday before noon. Pack a cooler guys cause it could be a hot one. Maybe we'll get lucky though. It is *high* desert. I got snowed on back in December just as I was heading back to SoCal! Either way, it'll be a blast.

nah, sorry, hard parking doesn't interest me and it's not really worth the drive for one track day, especially when formula d is going on and i'll have all access pass. my apologies, hahaha.

There are lots of FD events. Only one 240 Nats.

hard parking is what posers from the internet do. people that are too scared to drive their car but buy mods to make it look like they do. hard parkers. if the car doesn't have a scratch on it and has 18's, probably a hard parker.FD is on Sunday, same day as the track event.

Correction, only one FD in SoCal. And another correction; you meant to say "I'll have to let Ananananand SPIN the Q.... repeatedly."

I need to spend some time with that boy.

HELLZ YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and you know this maaaannnn...

And Yes, I am going... Once the time comes, I am going to organize a caravan from OC to Vegas...

I'll be starting a thread in the meet section for people to go along...

That's one thing I am NOT looking fwd to is the drive because NO AC = :owned but I will be packing a cooler and my tools and what not for the event and clothes and crap

I still have not gotten a room though.. so if people want to go in on a room then let me know.. if not then I'll be sleeping in the bathtub of Hitmans room... hehe.. I'm sure Nicomom won't mind..I look like I could be your kid anyway!!! :)

Time out bro...I know your like the drift guru, and if the smell of rubber is not in the air your unsatisfied, but hard parking is NOT about being "scared" or a poser. Its about being social. Matter of fact, when I was at the last convention, there were drag cars, drifters and just about every type of 240 you can imagine...it nice to be able to see things up close and check out mods, ask questions and share information. I remember meeting Don from PDM...what a nice fella...checking out Non Fujitas ride and sitting in a RHD for the first time...

So why don't you come out your "drift box" and hang out a little. I would love to check out your ride and ask you some questions (seriously) ..not to mention shake the hand of a true drift guru (note sarcaism).

You must be one of those "my dents add character" fellas uh?

nah, you got it all wrong. but take it however you like.

talking about the people who will show up to every car show or meet to show off their car, but when it comes down to an actual event, "oh my car is broken" or "my lsd fluid needs to be changed" or some other equally lame excuse.

hahah, I'm still a meet whore, but given the option of actual driving or going to a wal mart parking lot to check out cars i've already seen a million times over, well. i think you know what i'll do. i still talk to people all the time. like yesterday, met a ton of awesome people.

i wish i was a true drift guru that would be awesome. im just another guy who loves to drift. dents don't add character, but neither does a pristine paint job.

edit: for the record, even though i quoted you, i never said you were a hard parker. definining it for you.

I plan to go, but I may only go as a spectator. I am planning to sell the S14 soon. Maybe I'll have a replacement for it by that time, but I can't make any commitments as to how involved I will be. At worse, I will be making a party weekend out of it anyways as I am usually in Vegas several times a year just for fun.

I gotta agree with Ryan on the one thing - I'd rather meet the people or drive the cars than look at stuff I've seen a thousand times before.

p.s. All lame excuses for not making this event will be scrutinized, published, and mocked. :)

Guess I'll have to get the old gal on the track then and prove this theory bogus. :)

p.s. If Anananand puts my baby in the wall, tell his wife and family I made sure his demise was quick and painless. :)

Right on...I see your point...no offense taken...

I have never been to a drift event so I cannot comment on how much fun they are, may be I should go. I have been to car races and they are cool...especially at California speedway...two nascar events...autocross events...drags. My car is far from a trailer queen, and is driven everyday.

Daniel: I am mainly on this bored for information. Car magazines suck.

I am really looking forward to the track day in Vegas.

As long as there are more straights than corners, you're toast.

p.s. I'll have the a/c on.
