I feel so bad for my 350Z . I've been driving it almost 100 miles everyday to work and I bought it 3 months ago with 55k miles and now it has 63k miles. Sucks since i'm putting so much wear and tear by driving it alot. Anyone else drive this far on their 350Z? I'm hoping this Vq35 motor lasts over 200,000. I only have an injen cai and some testpipes on my Z

one of the first things they were told in making the 350z was to make sure then engine could last 200k miles. no joke i just read that this weekend. maybe in my road and track

I drive almost 55 miles total everyday, I bought the car new so it hurts me just a little bit more. I used to be like you, worried about my miles.

...but then I came to a realization, I bought this car to drive it, not to park it. I have had my Z for over a year and I have 18000 miles. It's a blessing I drive my car everyday, gas is expensive- but at least I am enjoyin my car. I am considering getting a motorcycle, especially when gas hits $4

+1Not only the engine, but when Nissan presented the idea of the 350Z to their engineers they told them to make the whole car built to last for at least 200k.....

I shed a tear for your cars though....

My car has 108k on it and is still running strong. Just keep up on the maintainence and it will last a long time.

Is that hundred mile trek on the highway. better then the stop and go of a city. also it is better for your car to run for longer periods of time and not for short 10 min trips. Those short trips actually hurt your engine more then driving it for a longer period of time.

85 miles per day, 80 of it on the interstate. Bought it with 44, 000 on it, already have 10k added to it in no time at all. Expect I'll get another when I hit about 190k, hopefully this one is paid off first lol

I drive my 07 Z a lot, I too came to the realization that I bought the Z to drive it. I like my car a lot, i don't plan on selling it, just drive it till it falls apart, rebuild and drive it some more...life's too short not to enjoy

I drive my Z as much as I can. I didn't buy it to be a garage queen. Why would anybody pay for a car that sits in a garage or driveway most of its life?

bmike818... you are so right! I drive a 2007 Mazda3 4/5 days a week and the Z on Friday. My commute is about 45 miles perday (in LA) which does not sounds like much, but I am in LA.

My Z sits in the garage under a cover most of the week and it breaks my heart too... but until I sell my Mazda I will continue to put the miles on it and not the Z.

My goal is to sell the Mazda and purchase a 2007/8 CBR600RR because gas prices in LA are out of this world... and I do not want 2 cars... I came into the Z by chance and could not pass it down. I cannot wait to drive the Z on a regular basis and make the bike my weekend "car".

Well see, i bought mine to drive too, and to drive the piss out of, but living in the greatest state OHIO, i get snow, ice, and the dreadful SALT, there fore i garaged my Z all winter.... Also keep it off of the wet roads, and out of the rain..... Not hard to do anyway. Plus the times i really want to drive it are nice drive pavement and possibly even sunny. Still drive it to work once in awhile, but i do save a **** load of unnecessary miles. Only unnecessary because i have another car. In my case i don't see a problem with it being a garaged car. I actually get it out and drive it as much as possible, unlike the older guy down the street with the 300ZX that only gets it out to knock the dust off of it. I don't knock you guys that do drive it everyday, if i lived in a state with nice weather year round, i would too.

If you want to sell your car, try Carmax. They will give you a price between private buyers and dealers. They dont pressure you to sell your car, you actually have 7 days to decide after they give your car an appraisal. Let me know how your NIsmo handles the daily commute. Us local LA peoples should meet up, ive been dying to cruise with fellow Zs

I will be taking my car to Vegas soon. I really hope I dont have luggage issues

Nissan 350Z starts around $28k...Gallon of 91 octane $3.85...enjoying your commute everyday...priceless

I love looking at other Zs on the road!!!

Thanks bmike818. I posted the Mazda on many sights, including Cars.com... I think that I will use the equity (if there is such a thing with cars) towards to purchase of a new motorcycle and pocket the rest.

bmike818, there is the SoCal Z event April 25-27th! We should start a local Z chapter so Z lovers can hang out and ride together. You are welcome to join me and my group on our once a month trip thru the Mnts in Malibu, but I strongly recommend that you have a clear bra or nose mask. The guys I ride with have cars that put my Nismo to shame... I am the red caboose!

The Nismo is a little rough on the road, but I feel like the car has complete contact with the payment. I kinda like the road feedback... It is not the best for talking on the highway due to the increased road noise, but I hope this will be reduced after I install the Dynamat Xtreme truck kit in the hatch.
