I've got a AUTO ECU sitting here and a MANUAL ECU in the car.

Looking for better gas mileage and to ditch that damn gear/rev/speed limiter thing.

Has anyone done the swap not liked the idle changes?

People must like their auto ECU's then.

I am, but not about this.

I know there are people out there who are like "omg my car doesn't idle right, I'm going back to my stock ECU and cutting wires ahhh argh blah".

and they say it just like that.

Umm... A low compression and high compression ecu. You're confused.

The low compression thing isn't what I'm concerned about. I'm just wanting to know if the idle issues are enough for some people to swap back to stock.

Poor wording but I see what you're saying. If you've already got the auto why not stick it in your car and see if you like it.

Saves myself the effort of removing those 4 bolts. Oh man they are tough.

I'll probably try it anyway, especially considering the slight boost in MPG.

I never noticed a mpg change when I switched out the ecu's.

But I do know that the idle was a little lower and I had to press the throttle a little when starting.
