1991 Q45, being its going pass 16teen years there are things which are going to break. I like to change things out before that happens however, that is not always the case unless you have money to burn, which I do not being that I have little brats to feed.

Found this one person who is a Q45 nut, but he can also repair anything on it with quickness.

To make a long story short, I was having 2 major problems with my Q and knew it could be one of three things as the car would miss-fire once it warmed up or after nine miles . The problem was tracing it, which the three other professional mech could not do and the Infinity dealler could only speculate . Lucky for me I met someone who of course had a Q45 but with BMW headlight and new style Q45 rims, which looked perfect . I took my Q to him and he found the problem in less then seven minutes after checking the injectors and power pack .

The other problem was overheating which started with the Waterpump . I change the pump myself but the overheating was still there, I had notice the Radiator leaked a little at the top but whenever I checked, there was coolent in it. I Thought it might be the thermostat which the copper part was bend a little when I replaced it, but condition of heat was still there evident when a hose under the frog gave the engine a coolent steam bath. I took the car to Bobby who fix the first problem, he looked under the hood and automatically change out the radiator for one that looked brand new, but without the $181 cost for it, infact the whole job cost about that much with the oil chage he did . I guess even while the radiator had coolent in it, the radiator have to be full or it would cause the air inside to build pressure. The overflow tank must reacts to the temp not pressure as I would have to let the engine cool before it redlined each time. The winter was okay but it was summer now.

I've had my car repaired for things I could not fix on my own before, but never have I seen a repair person do things to make sure the job was done correct like checking everything first, telling the price before doing the work and then when he does the work he does it correct. For example, before he put in the radiator he blowout the ac condenser with air; and when he changed the oil he lean the car and waited until every drop of oil was out. He remind me of the hardcore guys on this site like Wes. He even made his friends wait until he was done with me before looking at their cars, that I can respect. Came to find out that he went to automotive school but did not like the way dealers overprice the repairs so he open his own repair place. It may not be a big place, but it is his skills I care about not the place its repaired.

So if you ever need the best car repair, talk to Bobby:ninja2 at (718) 809-3150
