Makes me wish I didnt stop taking it in highschool. I am trying to track down a problem as to why my 180 isnt getting power to the hicas system, so I pull the fuse cover, and get this.. lol.

Anyone out there that can read japanese, would you mind translating for me? my hiragana/katakana is rather rusty lol.

The fuse panel should be in the same makeup, but I'll be nice and translate.

I'll do the left column first top to bottom:

Blower Motor
Air Condition/Power Mirrors
Lighter
Wipers/Washer
Rear Wiper
Audio
Turn Signal
Meter (misread it as Marker originally)

The last one in the left column is the oddball I can't figure out. Individually, the kanji make no sense to me, and I can't figure out what they're supposed to mean paired up. In the US model, that should be the HICAS slot.

Right Column:
Rear Defogger
Room Lamp
Stop Lamp
Hazard Lamp
Light Control
Shift Lock
Illumination Clear Lens Lamp (I think that's Clear Lens)
Starter Signal
Reverse Lamp

your translation is spot on to the USDM 240's fuse panel, the only difference is on the left column what is labeled as Marker lights on the 180, is "meter" on the 240 panel.

and the shift lock is present in my 180, while on the 240 it is absent from the right column

Also: on the usdm 240, that bottom left fuse with the kanji..its labeled "electronics" on the usdm counterpart 240.

interesting..

I usually use the EL section power distribution chart for the fuse blocks. It tells you a bit more than what the fuse tag says. The shift lock fuse on the USDM is in the bottom right with the backup lights.

The bottom left fuse is labeled as being cruise control and HICAS on the US model.

I misread Meter as Marker. Meter is the term for the gauge cluster.

Those are really the only differences I can find comparing that list to the US EL charts.

EDIT: I did find a fuse block breakdown in one of my 180SX electronic charts. Give me a bit to cross ref it.
