close the thread if this is a useless post but:

I have a 95 240sx that i've already pieced a topmount setup for. I have everything except management. I'm looking around for an apexi neo, just because i've had that on a previous ka-t and didn't have too many problems.

And i also have an Ecu from an automatic 95 zenki. Can anyone chip(tune) that ecu to just swap into my car right now. And be home free?? haha.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'd just like to know before i go out and get me a piggyback.

thanks. and i will post pics and what not/ write up s***, when i pull it apart.

The two most common services for this are JWT and Enthalpy.

I have an Enthalpy tuned ECU and it's worth every penny.

I'm running an EFI tune and it's great. What is your setup this time? I assume this is on the maroon zenki you got a while back?

Mine was 305, retunes are 50 bucks. If you are going t3/t4 I suggest bigger injectors, you will max out the 370's at relatively low boost levels.

Ah ok. You still might max out the injectors at that psi, but with a wideband you'll know. You had a ka-t before, you know whats up haha.

I can do daughterboards, and burn tunes as well. Let me know if you need any help.

I have done nissanhmongsters and a few others so far. I don't charge anything, only parts.

The chips for the boards I use have been discontinued. I'm looking at the non-erasables right now as an alternative, but more info to come.

*threadjack* Just picked up my non-wastegated HX35.... ^_^

Since we're on the subject...

Razi - you soldered in your own daughterboard. Do you happen to know if it's an emulator or is the tune actually burned on it.

EazyE - If EFI uses an emulator I should be able to upload new tunes myself right? I have a consult cable, and Nistune allows you to upload tunes via consult, I'm just wondering if I were to upgrade and not feel like spending 50 bucks on a retune I could grab a tune off the internet and upload it to my ECU via consult and Nistune. I probably won't ever do this, I'm just wondering if it's a possibility.

Not an emulator. It has 2 eeprom chips with the tune burned onto it.

If you want, you can buy an eeprom reader/writer for like 30-40 bucks on Ebay, search for Willems Eeprom, and you should be able to find one.

Then you can take a look at your current tune, and play around with it.

This forum has a lot of knowledge to share about this subject.

-I don't believe you can do any realtime tuning with daughterboards like these unless you find an Eeprom emulator device to plug into the Eeprom slots and play around with your tune somehow.

Ok, thanks for the info. I know with the ECU Talk software you can make adjust things on the fly, but once you either disconnect the consult cable or shut the car off it will go back to how it was. If you have some spare cash I suggest getting a consult cable. They're freakin sweet and let you diagnose basically everything with your ecu. Coolant temp, oil pressure, even your injector duty cycle haha.

Yeah I got an E-mance consult cable.I hate it, the part that goes into the car's consult plug is so ghetto, ugh.

It isn't working at the moment, might be the ghetto pins.

It's awesome to be able to check the engine codes and things.
