I put in my whiteline adjustable sway bars today and was wondering if there was a proper way to tighten everything down. ive read that the vehicle needs to sit at ride-height before everything is tightened. i havent fully tightened everything yet because im not really sure how to do it. heres some pics of the rear swaybar. ill post pics of the fronts tomorrow, but i think the fronts will be easier.. my other question is about the threaded part on the eyelet that connects to the lower control arm. when i tighten it down, what difference would there be, if any, regarding how high/low the eyelet that connects to the swaybar sits?

any help is greatly appreciated..

You know torque specs on sway bars are pretty light like 38-45lb or something. I just followed FSM and tightened mine. There's no way I can tighten them when all 4 wheels are on the ground, so I jack up my car once in a while and torque them properly. I've done same thing with sub frame collars, RUCAs, tie rod ends, tension rods...etc.

I guess if you really want to be picky about it, you could adjust and tighten the links with the car on the ground and someone exactly your weight in the drivers seat. The idea is to have equal pressure on each of the links so the car is not biased to one side or the other. One link can be tightened in the air but the other link would need to be adjusted and tightened on the ground so there is no pressure on the link when the car is loaded. That could be fun getting around the wheels and suspension arms with the car on the ground.

I just tightened my links with the car in the air, just made sure there was equal pressure on both links.

Yeah, I've seen a car with dumbells in driver's seat during alignment.
