Well I finally decided to get off my lazy *** and put my rear sway bar on. Its a Whiteline adjustable 20mm-22mm. The bar came with all necesarry hardware except for the d brackets and bolts which you can reuse from your stock sway bar.

Fit: the bar was superb everything lined up perfectly and I did not even have to wrestle the bar like prior experiences. It was not as thick as the other bars I have seen so I didn't even have to drop my exhaust. I just pulled on it a little so it can come down about .5 inch for more clearances.

Time: took me about 35-40 min total, this is with 2 snack breaks and a beer run, so I am guessing about no more than 20 min tops of install time. I was lacking a rear sway bar anyway so that would cut the time in half since I didnt have to remove the stock one.

Price: i bought the bar off of a friend who never put it on so obviously it was cheaper but they usually go new for around $180 per bar.

Overall: I love this bar. I am wondering to myself why I did not install it earlier. Right now I have it on the 20mm setting and the car is COMPLETELY nuetral I have no heavy under or over steer, its perfect. The car has way much better turn in now. It took me a few minutes to get used to it but now I am going to see how much better or worse the bar will be on the stiffest setting. I have not tested it in the rain yet so I also have to see about that.

my other suspension mods (if they matter) are Tein HA coilovers(set 10F 12R), SPl subframe spacers, and some rear tie bar thta probally doesn't do a damn thing, my front sway bar is bone stock, no urethane bushings just stock 10 year old bushings

is it the front or the rear, or both, that supposedly have ground clearance issues?

either way sounds very nice, the ground clearance thing is the only thing that worries me about the whitelines, if you prove it not to be a problem ill probably have a set next summer

Holy hell, you are running 10kg/mm and 12kg/mm rear? On the street? Those rates are rediculously high. Im running 8/6 and I think that it is slightly too much. Why are you running a stiffer spring in rear than the front? That is reverse of what most people do. Honestly, I am surprised that you can feel any difference with the sway bar, because your suspension is barely allowed to flex with those rates.

Haha... he was talking about his shock settings.

10/12KG would BLOWUP Tein HAs.

Makes it sound like the next mod for me to do after Tie Rods is a Largus rear bar. :/

I have Whiteline bars, but if I was to redo it I would run the new Progress bars...

Heim joints from the factory, otherwise they are largely the same as the Whitelines.

haha yeah sorry for the mixup I was specifiying the shock settings were 10F 12R.and I have not noticed ANY ground clearance issues at all, honestly I dont see how they would have any clearance issues with the ground

McRussellPants: Isn't the largus bar like 30mm or something like that?

The progress bars are a little thicker than the whitelines too, at least for S14s. I'm not sure about the S13 ones.

The front Bar is threeway adjustable and is 31mm (1.8 x stiffer) and the rear bar is 27.5 (2.2 x stiffer).

Everyone who has them loves them.

^ yeah I would love to try a set of those but they are just a bit out of my price range. Are you only getting the rear one or are you buying a set?

So Whitelines hang lower on S13's?I wanted to get a set of Suspension Technique sways, and I probably still will. But after watching my bf put a set on Slappy's S13 (yeah, him), they seem extremely hard to line up right and bolt on.

I guess its only the S13's that have the clearance problem but can't really comment on that as I do not own an S13; BUT I have heard others having issues with whiteline and S13's.But for an S14 I had NO issues What-so-ever, clearance was perfect and I am pretty low to the ground. All the bolts lined up perfectly so it might just be an isssue with those damned S13 <---- just kidding BTW

I have a complete set of the white line adjustables sitting here waiting to go on. Glad to know that everything lines up. I still have one question though, on the s13 the whiteline frontbar actually didn't clear the tomei oil pan. Not that I'm getting that oil pan, but will the s14 have the same oil pan clearance issues say if I use a greddy or any other aftermarket oil pan?

No I beleive the front clears a greddy oil pan on an S14 fine. The S13's are the ones who don't clear aftermarket oilpan's. If I am not mistaken thats how it goes

When you install your sway bars they won't affect your alignment at all. I would install them and find a place with a real good alignment rack and get a four wheels alignment.

Anytime you disassemble part of your suspension, whether it being coil overs or sway bars, it's a good idea to take it and get it all realigned. Even the slightest movement of suspension parts can throw a perfect alignment out the door.
