As I'm sure you all know a couple was able to get into the Whitehouse to a party with our President without being invited. I guess they are going to charge the party crashers with some sort of trespassing crime but I think that's ridiculous.

The Secret Service are the ones that should be charged with a crime for endangering our President by letting these people in. They were negligent in protecting him and everyone who was involved in letting these people in should be fired from the SS and given a job at the local grocery store.

Now I'm not giving the moron's who did this any excuses. I think what they did was wrong and if they were discovered to be there uninvited they could have easily been shot by the SS. However, it seems like they would let the couple go and thank them for showing the weak link in the SS ranks. The fact that the couple was able to get in the Whitehouse uninvited should be an enormous slap in the faces of the Secret Service and they should be thankful that the weak link was found before serious damage was done. If they were truly dedicated to protecting the President they would forget saving their faces and focus on protecting the President.

They need to forget George and Mary (hypothetical names) and focus on the fact that they screwed up and endangered the life of the President. Even charging the 2 with trespassing would have a hard time holding up in Court because they technically were invited in - I mean they didn't kick the door in or anything - they went to the entrance and were let in.

Just because I know that it will be brought up in one of the next posts I'll address it. The Secret Service said that the President was never in physical danger. It's real easy for them to say that now that the ordeal is over but seriously - how was the President not in danger? Sure he has big guys around him but srsly a gun isn't the only way to kill someone..

Edit- Here is a pic of them with the VP:

The enthusiasm shown by some towards a real president is certainly understandable after what this country has gone thru with the last incompetent one for eight years.Wish I could have been there.

What is up with the Secret Service Presidential detail these days? Biden's motorcade has had three crashes and killed a person. Now this? Who the hell is running things in the White House.. Oh that is right. Carry On.

New info out about the crashers:

SO THE SECRET SERVICE ARE LIARS ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE!

They said that the President was never in danger and these two people sneak into his party and now we have pics of them SHAKING HIS HAND! They could poison him, cut his throat, punch his face off, kick him in the nuts, or anything else at that point.

The SS needs a serious overhaul or we are going to wake up one morning and read that our President was murdered. The thought of Biden becoming president sickens me.

Their names are Michaele and Tareq Salahi. The whole thing was a publicity stunt to get on a reality-TV show. How f***ed up is that?

At least they were successful. I'm having some memory about another family who tried a publicity stunt so they could get a reality show. . . .

Go when you like - you don't need an invite get in, word on the street is that the secret pass-phrase to get in to State dinners is "Sic semper tyrannis!"

Let me know when you go, I've got a shotgun and ski mask I'd like to send to you to get the President to sign.

The couple is also named in like 17 other lawsuits.

If they get charged with anything, that is ridiculous. The Secret Service agents that blew it should be let go.

Why is what they did wrong? People crash parties all the time. Haven't you gone up to a house party in college and either tried to get in or just walked in? Or "the list" at an exclusive club. Many people wait in line to get into those clubs. Is what they did wrong? No.

I'm gonna disagree with smocky AND dusred on this one...

While I agree the SS agents need to be held accountable, saying that THEY bear the burden of fault is like saying the security guard on duty during a bank heist should be charged as a criminal.

It don't work that way.

These two need to be made an example of. And the POS mainstream media played RIGHT into their hands by giving them TONS and TONS of press.

Those who claimed the intruders never had access to the POTUS should be relieved of duty. Now.

Oh, and Howie? I could give a damn about the POTUS or the VPOTUS, other than I just don't want to see Pelosi in the Oval Office.

The only guilty party here appears to be the couple themselves. But I'm curious what crime they could be charged with?

Trespassing?

or is it because she is a woman?

Nope. It's because she's Black.

And she's not even 1/4 the man Gingrich is... although I'm pretty sure she's a little "bigger in the pants".

Oh wait! Now? Now, gender is an issue? After what you fascists did to Palin and Bachmann, because they were women who dare not tote the Feminist Party line? And had the guts to think independently for themselves. Get real!

It speaks volumes about Howie's relative lack of knowledge of all things political when he thinks Gingrich "incompetent" and Pelosi "accomplished".

Gingrich is widely regarded as quite impressive, even by the Left.

Pelosi is barely tolerated, and has numerous detractors even in the DNC.

There's simply no comparison.

I criticize the POTUS because he's Black, and I criticize Pelosi because she's a woman.

Pathetically shallow interpretation, but much of what I've come to expect from lefties who can't be bothered by a more substantial analysis.

Precisely. What can they be charged with? They can't be charged with trespassing because they weren't trespassing. They were given permission to enter. It would be trespassing if they were denied entry and then sneaked in. They didn't endanger the president's life. They were just given access to something they really weren't supposed to have, which is a breach in security, not a crime on the couple's behalf. They just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. The government can walk into the private sector and say security isn't tight enough, but when the private sector does that to the government, they get charged?

I agree that what they did really shouldn't have been attempted, but I'm just saying.

She has this burr that she is perfectly right about everything all the time. No matter what, she thinks she knows best - regardless of what the actual experts say!

For a person, elected out of one small extremist constituency of the country, to wield so much power and arrogance and control over the rest of the country is way beyond acceptable!

I believe they can be charged with lying to the Federal Government (why I had to be exactly truthful in my security clearance application and in the interviews the OPM.gov gave me.) Also, I believe it is probably illegal trying to enter a Federal Government installation under false pretenses. bud

Yup, just like the flight line on any air base. You can't just be there without clearance. Ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse.

You have to be cleared to be there. If your not cleared you're there illegally and can be charged with lots of things...just like a military installation or anything that's supposedly secure.

Just because they didn't make an overtly illegal act while inside doesn't mean they shouldn't be charged with every regulation we can think of. Simply to make it a point, we don't F around with security. If there isn't an example made then we are totally setting ourselves up for failure.
AZhitman wrote:While I agree the SS agents need to be held accountable, saying that THEY bear the burden of fault is like saying the security guard on duty during a bank heist should be charged as a criminal.
The two examples are totally different. One is a min wage guy with a gun that's there to deter criminal actions simply by being IN VIEW. They aren't a branch of the Gov. They aren't trained like the SS. They aren't tasked with the surveillance and scheduling of EVERYTHING Gov officials do. Have a cup of reality Greg, they screwed the pooch so badly it's embarrassing. If they took out Ads for help wanted, they'd have 30,000 qualified applicants to weed through within the week. Can't do your job, gtfo, plenty of people that would love to do it. Repo is out of work, I bet he'd love to be SS.

The couple should be held without bail until their court date. Because this was premeditated and all premeditated crimes should have no bail option.

Harsh? You bet, screw em.

Gingrich is a blowhard, an attention whore, and an unprincipled power grabber.

That said, he's incredibly intelligent and, if he ever decides whether he wants to be a maverick politician instead of a base-rousing talking head, he'll really take the country places.

Pelosi is overly villianized, IMO. She's not as liberal as she's made out to be, but she has to carry the banner for some dumb-shxt causes since she's Speaker. She's a really BAD speaker, IMO, but if she went back to being a normal rep, I wouldn't really have a problem with her.

Pelosi is the best example on earth of "If people think you suck at your job, then you suck". Perception Management is NOT her strong suit, and that won't cut it in her job.

All the conservatives should be overjoyed that Pelosi is Speaker, however. Who'd you rather have doing that job.....Rahm? Steny Hoyer?

I could name some Democratic Reps that would make good Speakers of the house. They will never be considered because it is an old boys network in each party to be nominated.
