I was at a parking lot just chilling tonight and noticed that while my car was idling, some white smoke was coming out..it wasnt a lot, just enough to notice..i smelled it and it smelled very rich... what could cause this? i know its not a blown headgasket since my coolant is not brown and i am not losing any coolant either. any ideas?

Usually that does that jst a little white smoke coming out of the exhaust i had the same problem i jst reset the timing on my car again and it went away. Another reason could probably be one of the valves not closing in time or it can also be water leaking into the turbo causing of course white smoke but that doesnt sounf that big of a problem. Jst some ideas GL

Do you still have your cat? Do you have any emissions equipment removed?

Could still be a headgasket just not "blown" as much as has a pinhole leak. You would need to do a leakdown test to confirm this.

Sure it wasn't just normal water vapor, a natural byproduct of combustion?

That is pretty terrible. I'd check your plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Just do a full tune up if you haven't yet.

i had the same problem a while go but it could be anything.mine was that i had half a timechain guide which led to car not starting. i believe it jumped a tooth. replace bunch of @@$#@$it the car ran,. change the coolant and drove it for an hour.blown head gasket. milky in the engine.replace bunch of @@$#@$it to find out after i swap the motor that the chain ate through my front cvr. a small leak do a lot of damage.

just sharing the wonderful experience. something to think about.
