I just rebuilt my 1992 ka which had 214k miles

i got a block with 150k and pistons with 150k.. both looked good. I honed the block, got new rings and got new bearings. I put my head on without changing it (i spun a rod bearing in the old bottom end) but i got a headgasket set.

its got no EGR, no air pump thingy, no charcoal canister or the sphaghetti things under the throttle body, a TB coolant bypass, a e-bay header and testpipe and a CAI.

it runs great now.. got timing set and what not.. i have put about 300 mi on it since the rebuild and it just started smoking this white kinda smoke.

when you sit at idle it smokes slightly.. i mean not enough to notice. when you first get on teh gas it shooots out a cloud of smoke, then it goes back to not smoking if you keep it revved to 4-6 k.. if you let it idle again it only smokes slightly. after idling a minute if you hit the gas again it shoots out a cloud. if you rev then let off then rev then let off it only smokes slightly instead of shooting out a huge cloud each time... only the first rev gets a huge cloud. also sometimes it smokes when it starts up and sometimes it doesnt.

It runs great.. oil is still clean looking.. looks like brand new mobil 1 still

not like chocolate milk so its not a headgasket issue..

plugs look whiteish grayish dulll.. so is it running slightly lean? there is ALITTLE oil on like 2 out of the 4 plugs threads.. but this is not related because its only a tid bit.. and i know the valve cover gasket isnt leaking.

oil is if anything, slightly high. after checking it as soon as i turn it off and also 45 mins later its at the bottom to middle of the second bump in the dipstick.

coolant isnt funky either.. the coolant is like 75% water though becuase at 5 am when i was gettin it running i only had alittle coolant and ive been too lazy to fix it.. it doesnt get that cold here. but eitherway its got a greenish tint to it and its not bubbly or nasty looking.

so whats my issue? any help?

maybe bad gas?

how much oil does it take to make smoke.. maybe its only burning a slight amount? im gonna keep a close eye on it.

how much coolant does it take to smoke? maybe its only burning a slight bit of coolant and not letting oil seep the other way? i dunno...

any help would be apprecieatedthanks,

Chris
