does any have any suggestions as to why my car is spitting white puffs of smoke when i step on the accelerator.

usually on does when i go from a stop.

pretty sure its oil being burnt but why is it doing that???????

make sure its actually white smoke cuz white smoke = burning waterblack to bluish smoke= burning oil

If its white smoke, you most likely have a bad headgasket.

Bad smoke = bad piston rings, bad valve seals dumping oil into the chamber.

double double post!!!!!!ya its probably a headgasket how does the car run and whats the weather like in your area?let the car run and put your hand over the exhaust for a few seconds and smell your hand if it smells sweet then its coolant and your headgasket is blown.If your car runs fine and its really cold in your area it may just be condensation but it shouldnt be very thick.

i live in southern Arizona (around Tucson) so its dry and its never really that cold.

the exhaust does smell a little sweet...ish and its not a lot of smoke, most of the time.
