Hi, I have a serious problem and I dont know which end to start. Here is the story...

Finished building my SR head and upgrade turbo. Went on the dyno yesterday and here is what happened.. 1st I started to notice the antifreeze resevoir filling up and over filling on like the 15th dyno pull. After we shut the car off there was a bubbling noice coming from the head and hoses. Opening up the radiator cap just made a pshhhh noice and VERY little antifreeze sprayed out. We took some antifreeze out of the resevoir and did another pull. Made very nice numbers (near 300whp at 10psi (gt2871r). During that time white smoke shot out of my exhaust and the idle got really rough. We took it off the dyno and I drove it home nicely. Its now sitting in my garage. I have to mention that when I left the shop I was shooting clouds only when I shift gears but when I started getting close to my house I wasn't shooting smoke at all... Pulled into my garage and got out to let the car cool down and I started seeing a little white smoke again during idle.My mistake - didn't resurface the head when I put the thick hg on...Can someone please give me some advice on what to start doing to it?Thanks to everyone for the help in advance.

sounds like your headgasket is leaking somehow. could be the head is uneven or your gasket is blown. do a compression check to make sure.

Yeah sorry, I meant in a couple runs on the dyno. Couple people told me that my head is uneven at some places. Does anyone know if there is any way to resurface the block without taking the engine out? Also what are the torque specs for the sr head?

no i understand that. I will be taking the head off. I was wondering if there is any way to resurface the block with it in the car and head off.

To resurface the block, it must be removed from the car, totally disassembled and taken to a machine shop.

Well I pulled my head off today and noticed that the headgasket was starting to get ripped by one of the water jackets. It had the design of rust eating away metal. I dont know how that could of happened so fast. The headgasket was brand new and good up to 700hp. I put a total of maybe 70 miles on it. Also, some of the water jackets have antifreeze in them and some dont. Is that normal?

is your waterpump good? how much antifreeze did you put in the car?

when you say some of the jackets don't have coolant in them, are they full of air or just water without antifreeze

Yeah i'm pretty sure the water pump is good. I think I had a bunch of air pockets. I noticed that the jackets are all full of antifreeze I just didn't think that I lifted the front of the car so its no even. I lowered it down and all the jackets are full of antifreeze. Is there any way of telling if the water pump is bad?
