I dont know has this been happening before I changed the turbo but i've been getting clouds of white smoke if i leave my car running after a drive for about 5 minutes or so. But after i drive it for a block, it wouldnt blow smoke anymore. I was thinking its the turbo because it has lots of shaft play, it moves side to side and IN AND OUT 0_0. I'm going to change the turbo with another sr turbo next week and i hope that solves the problem. But does anyone else think it sthe turbo? I really hope its not a headgasket or something else thats not "easy" to change.

Is there oil spitting out of the turbo? Mine spits smoke because the turbo took a dump, but got it rebuilt quite fast.

Mine was doing the same thing on idle. After a few minutes it would start to pump out smoke, but my turbo was fine. I took it to my mechanic (knows CA's very well) and told me it was my valve seals. I didn't want to pay the 1400 euro head rebuild so I just dealt with it. Don't flame me guys just relaying what my mechanic said.

Gonna have to agree with the other guys here. It sounds like there is oil leaking past the turbo seals. Mine did that after it had been rebuilt, but ONLY when I tried to put synthetic in it. When I switched back to non-syn, it stopped. Go figure...
