I have been having issues with white smoke, took it to Nissan because I had a warranty but they won't fix the issue stating its not on the warranty. Yet I have a complete warranty to 100,000 miles. They wanted to charge me 1470. I thought that was just ridiculous for a car only 4 years old. I went to another place and that replaced the coil that was bad, spark plug and seals. I also had my brakes done but that was nothing. Another place previously did an oil change and fixed a part I learned was recalled anyway. I am so frustrated and paying out over 1000 at this point to fix my car and still tons of white smoke and smells nasty. Its freaking embarrassing. I have been told it could be my valves. I keep reading in many places that this has happened to others. Its now driving fine for whatever each place has fixed. I have no leaks whatsoever. No oil lights, no engine light, nothing. Nissan, after giving me the runaround with my warranty, left a tool in my car and my now passenger airbag light is flashing. UGH!!!!!!!! I am frustrated and frankly cannot afford to do more to this car. I am having a rough time and this just makes me stress. While driving, the smoke goes away, :werd: . So no clue and it seems no one else knows too! Thinking I should just call my guy and say fix the PCV valve and valve seals. Oh and car has not overheated ever. Fluids all normal. :wtf2:
Any advice!?

Welcome to the forum. I understand your frustration.

You said it is 4 years old, but how many miles are on the car? Who usually does the oil change? I would start recording the oil consumption - they might want an ASE certified person to officially do that, and I bet a nissan dealership even better. However, if they are already saying they don't see a problem, maybe someone else would be a better choice; perhaps a different Nissan dealership?

The reason I suggest the oil collection is that although every manufacturer has a range of normal oil consumption, they need to verify that yours is using up more than X miles in1,000 miles for example.
I know you said it consumes oil, but it has to really consume oil in their opinion. Ask the service advisor how you can work this out with them.
Because when they get your vehicle warmed up and look at it within a narrow window of time, well, it might be true that they don't see any problems, but longer monitoring makes more sense to me.

So tomorrow I take it back. I called Nissan Consumer affairs. My engine is toast by 3 mechanics now. My oil consumption was like every 3 days I needed more oil. Driving it wasn't an issue till the other day when driving it along my car began to vibrate and engine light began flashing. I knew this was bad. Tired of getting dogged around, U go ally looked up a number to call. I saw this number and called. I will write back to what exactly is going on .

mac, how many owners ?,IF 'n it's not a fluke of PCV , and it REALLY WAS REPLACED ( shops could all be "soaking you" here? For reasons unknown to us) . Somebody beat it , poor / NO maintenance ( a DEALER faked my 1st oil chng.! ), maybe Lemon. Not one of those CPO (Certified-lied Pre-messed-up One-million owned :lolling: ) ?? Sounds "Cashed"
