white smoke coming out of exhaust....

hey there fellow nico members....I was just going for a couple runs on some side streets here in my neighboorhood and i noticed something rather odd....when i downshift from 3rd to 2nd at 40mph then floor it, quite a bit of white smoke shoot out of my exhausts, im not sure what the problem could be....was hoping one of you guys could help me out. is the car still being broken in??? is mixing engine coolant bad? or is my exhaust still new? there's only 4k miles on the car by the way. any help would be appreciated! thanks.

Yo Spike, I knew your parking lot looked familiar! You live in SL, huh? I was stationed at the firehouse right at the top of the hill next to the high school. I also grew up in SL my whole life.

could it be that you had some water in the pipe and it's actually steam + dust ?

ahhh yes i think that was the issue, because today I didn't see any white smoke coming out when i step on it. thanks to all and sorry mods for wasting a thread =(

No apologies needed It could of been a valid point. What would of sucked if it was bad and you waited to get it fixed or worst ignored it. Like some guys I know, if they hear something weird with their car, they just turn up the radio, problem solved
