white smoke at idle, and very rough idle

if the car is cold it runs fine until the car heats up then every time i idle its really rough and billows out white smoke, also one or two of my plug wires come up about a inch or 2 out of the valve cover, wtf, i love ny 240 please help...

rough idle and smoke is caused by maf. take out your maf and take it apart and clean it with a MAF cleaner, not a CARB cleaner, theyre 2 different products. a carb cleaner will ruin your maf. maf cleaners are like 5 bucks at autozone or pepboys...

thanks ill try that first, i hope thats it, other ppl have told me that it might be a valve seal or somthing internal, i really hope not but thanks again

wait, so your plug wires are hopping out of your valve covers? If they are doing that, means those cylinders aren't getting spark (duh) You should probably fix that, sounds like your plugs are either shot, or not sealing.

youuu know, your not getting alot of blow back through your cooling system are you? loosing any coolant or anything like that?

make sure you have enough coolant in there, ie take of your rad cap and check to see if you need any, if you do, fill it up, run the car and check again. if your loosing coolant when the car heats up and the cooling system pressurizes you have a broken head gasket, or a cracked head. hope not though, for your sake...
